About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

Sad, sad and sad.
It was very sad to see this course has deteriorated in just one year since I last played here. It was very confusing with many of the signs missing. My app had the first hole different to where everyone seemed to be starting but there was no starter so I just went with the app.
It was sad to see so many divots and ball marks. Doesn't anyone care anymore?

Glad we got to play
Played on a cold day, course not busy, they let us tee off early. Jacob in clubhouse was pleasant & helpful. Previously discussed w/ Luke a golf deal we had purchased & he honored it. Thanks Luke. Course was in good condition for this time of year & after a day of rain. Leaves blown off the course. Always enjoy playing. Usually play gold tees but will move up on a couple to make it more enjoyable.

Fall Golf Conditions - Great Layoout
Great layout design lotta versatility and club selection from multiple tea boxes. Course conditions are fall golf fairways and rough going dormant greens rolled pretty good for late afternoon play but look like they struggled this summer. Lots of new grass patches on the greens still work left to completely recover Overall vert good fall golf.

Really enjoyed the round. Only complaint was the irresponsible group in front of us. I don’t care how much booze you drink and I don’t care how much pot you smoke while you are playing. I’d be more concerned if I was living in one of the many houses you hit as the cumulative effects of each grew. But don’t play as a 5 some when It’s getting dark and groups are backing up behind you.

Greens are horrific,pace of play is terrible.They clearly do not invest in the course.
