About
Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club is situated in the heart of South Hall County. The course sprawls across 150 acres of rolling countryside with natural wetlands comprising 19 of those acres. The golf course has a traditional Scottish links design that also incorporates a few mountain holes. It's a layout that will always keep you guessing. It may not be the most formidable golf course in the area, but it shouldn't be underestimated either. The course strikes a good balance between being forgiving enough for high handicappers and challenging enough for more advanced players. The par 3s are tough and the diverse par 4s come in all shapes and sizes. Royal Lakes Golf & C.C. is a shot maker's layout that requires accuracy and thoughtful strategy. The most memorable hole on the golf course is the par-5 11th, which features an intimidating island green.

No power or carts
The clubhouse was struck by lightning and there were no carts so we were unable to play. The club pro said to request a refund on here and it would be refunded back to my card. Thanks!

Nice course...Slow Play
Royal Lakes is a nice course with a good lay out but the pace of play was something not to be desired. I remember a group on the green, a group in fairway and 2 groups on tee box. This should never happen IMO.. Course was a little rough around the edges but it is played continuously this time of year. Some areas need attention.....edging,cutting, and sod replacement

Course is in great shape overall
Had minor issues with residents that were out on the course. Slow afternoon, guess they thought no one was out playing the course…Still, look forward to playing this course again.

Soggy Day!
The course was wet but playable after summer storms hit the area including taking out power, internet, etc. in the clubhouse. The Staff was extremely friendly & allowed us to play first & pay after due to the technical issues. The course is an interesting layout with a few tricky hole designs that will test all levels of skill. Put this one on your must play list!

No Water
No Water on a 100 degree day. That is totally Unacceptable. Come on, there were weather warnings All Day. Get it Together Folks.

The course was in good shape, the pace of play was good on the front 9 but the back 9 was very slow. No course marshal to check pace of play. Overall the course is very good.
