Royal Lakes Golf & Country Club

It had been raining the week before but you couldn't tell it out on the course. The greens were not running too fast but were true. Besides fairways and tees being dormant the course was in great condition. Looking forward to returning when the weather gets better and the grass starts getting green again.

Good mix of holes for scoring short par three four and five and high risk to reward. I have played great and scored average and played average and shot lower scores on this course

Some quirky holes, fairly well maintained. Overall convenient location, and decent value.

Considering the season they maintained the course pretty well. Greens are rolling better than they look and fairways are soft. Well done and I will be back soon.

Haven't been to Royal Lakes in years. Always was one of my favorites and it still is. Outstanding condition to go with the excellent layout.

Course is in great shape and a blast to play. You will need some course knowledge to help select the right club. Great people at the clubhouse and a challenging course that is a excellent value for the money.

Everything was great. Three of the par 5 are very narrow, water and require placement shots, but fun.

Just aerified last Monday so the greens are bumpy and slow. Otherwise, the course is in great condition. Royal Lakes should be in excellent shape in a week or two and should be on your "must play" list.

I have played this course many times and the conditions today were not so good. Every green had tons of ball marks. This course is semi-private and maybe they need to educate their members on proper care. The cart paths are beginning to get pretty rough. There was a fivesome playing on a holiday and would not let anyone play through. There was a twosome playing right behind them. Never saw a ranger to help speed things along. I would not recommend this course at full price. Make sure you get a discounted rate.

pace of play was very slow. I notified the ranger of foursome in front of us and that we were waiting on every shot and they did nothing, was not pleased with their response

I'm new to the area and I've played lots of courses around North Georgia and this has been my favorite thus far. Great course with challenging looks and unique holes. Only complaint is the pace of play was very slow!

Had a business associate from out of town. He was impressed as was I. Great "find" in Flowery Branch. Headed back to play again soon. Reminder: always repair your ball marks...it makes it better for everybody! Thanks :-)

Each hole has character and they are fairly easy if you can keep it in play. Beautiful holes and fun to play. The only complaint is at the turn we stopped to get a drink and a candy bar and we were in there for 20 minutes trying to get the staff to work the credit card machine

Very nice course, well maintained, greens excellent condition, pace of play was good, staff was excellent, we lucked out the weather was very good.

It was a typical and steamy Georgia summer. Imagine what ! There was no drinking water all over the course under over 95 steamy weather. I was told the employee in charge didn't come to work.
Then??? What??? Unbelievable.

Been a while since I'd been to Royal Lakes. It was very pleasant round of golf. Shot placement was important. Would have been good to have some type of "hole diagrams" on the scorecards for folks who don't play their often. Several "blind shots" where course experience would've been a big help! Greens were challenging but not punishing! People need to be reminded to repair ball marks - not just here but EVERYWHERE!

This course was recommended from a friend and I was a little hesitant because of the 1hr drive. When I arrived I saw the area and it was beautiful. We hit some balls and then hit the first tee box. First fairway has some challenge out the gate and no disappointments from there. I loved every fairway and even the par 3's had some element of risk reward to keep you thinking and playing your short game with minimal flaws to score. Would make the drive again and Golf now price was a steal.

The course was very damp and over half of the holes you were only allowed on the cart path. Greens were a work in progress. I've played here many times but was disappointed recently.
