Jekyll Island Golf Club - Indian Mound Course
About
Jekyll Island Golf Club is Georgia's largest public golf facility, offering three 18-hole courses and a nine-hole course. Two of the 18-hole courses, Pine Lakes and Indian Mound, have similar characteristics since they sit side by side. Both are younger than the Oleander, which is considered the toughest of the three and served as host to the Georgia Open for four years. The Indian Mound Course is the shortest of the three at just under 6,500 yards from the back tees but that is not to say you won't run into a fair amount of challenges. The layout features lengthy par 5s that you wouldn't expect given the yardage, and the par 4s offer scoring opportunities for those who take advantage of the short shots into the green. The Indian Mound Course's main challenges are the undulating greens and abundance of sand.

Very Nice Course
The course was in excellent condition. Wide fairways and not much trouble. Greens had recently been aerated but they still rolled very well. Pace of play was very good. The only reason I am not giving a five star rating is because there was very little drinking water on the course and no cart service on a Sunday morning. Other than that, everything was very nice.
Great Course/ Great Value !!
This course is one of my favorites in the Jacksonville/Brunswick area. The course is always in beautiful condition and ready for a great round of golf. The setting is among some old growth punctuated with beautiful secluded lakes. It's not a modern golf course in the sense that it is surrounded by houses with people mowing lawns, cooking and playing the radio. This is a secluded course that is very peaceful. Oh, and the Island deer. They are a joy to watch. They walk across the fairways and nibble the long grass in the rough. It is a must play!
Course is in great shape. Excellent value for the deal.
Staff very helpful. Course is very well kept. Very slow group in front of us which made for a 2 hr 40 min front 9. The ranger/starter took care of that after the front.
This course is the best of the three 18 holes on Jekyl Island.
I have played all three courses on Jekyl Island and Indian Mound is best suited for the senior golfer. The fairways are wide in the landing area and the grass on the fairway is cut so that there is some grass under the ball so you can get better loft with the irons. There is water on the course but should not come into play but does add to the beauty of the course. The greens do take some getting use to as they can be pretty fast when putting down slope on the green. This is really a great course.
Best shape it has been in a number of years.
I have played at this course a number of times and this is the best I have seen it in a number of years. The greens in past have been sparse with grass but they have grass and were rolling fast.
Jekyll Island is the best
All of the courses at Jekyll Island are always a pleasure to play. Well groomed and priced right I will play there before I would pay and play any where else in coastal Ga.
I always enjoy playing on the Jekyll Island courses. Great wildlife and golf.
The course is fun to play. You can keep out of trouble most of the time. Saw a large gator and scores of deer.
Currently very wet due to the heavy amount of rain lately
While the grounds are very wet and the traps in need of emptying, this is no fauit of the course but due to the heavy rain they received lately. It will be a week to get the traps back in shape. Walking the course was required, no golf carts at all, due to even the paths flooded. The greens are the best I have seen in a long time, even with the rain.
Great course, staff not so much
Came in a short time back for 18. The course was beautiful and it was an excellent day to play. Got lunch first, food was alright. Seemed like a burden to waitstaff. Same was true for course personal. With that said those I. The pro shop were pretty friendly. Was disappointed with the overflowing trash can outside the restaurant.
Course was in very good shape
Very windy today, otherwise, excellent conditions. Jekyll Golf is an excellent value, with friendly knowledgeable staff, good courses, and typically good pace of play.
Fun course.
You can't go wrong no matter which course you play on Jekyll Island. Great course to walk or ride. Always pleasant people playing there. Lots of things to do for non golfers too.
Pleasant and affordable
Nice layout with plenty of wildlife along the way. Saw four alligators, big ones. Greens were in good shape, though a bit hairy, but not unplayable. A great value.
Would definitely recommend if you're in the area.
Great course for the money and super friendly staff.
I will be playing this course every chance I get.
I Loved it...The course is in great shape.I loved seeing all the wildlife also.
No Marshalls?
Enjoyed the course. However, the marshalls need to be present. Play was very slow and no one came around to hurry up the players. In fact, I didn't see a marshall the entire 5 hours it took to play the course.
Good course, great value
Good mix of holes, greens were in great shape, very friendly staff.
Great course
This course challenges your putting and chipping. Being below the hole is essential. The fairways are average width.
Awesome !
For Winter Golf on the Coast excellent Golf conditions! Had a great time.
