About
Jekyll Island Golf Club is Georgia's largest public golf facility, offering three 18-hole courses and a nine-hole course. Two of the 18-hole courses, Pine Lakes and Indian Mound, have similar characteristics since they sit side by side. Both are younger than the Oleander, which is considered the toughest of the three and served as host to the Georgia Open for four years. The Indian Mound Course is the shortest of the three at just under 6,500 yards from the back tees but that is not to say you won't run into a fair amount of challenges. The layout features lengthy par 5s that you wouldn't expect given the yardage, and the par 4s offer scoring opportunities for those who take advantage of the short shots into the green. The Indian Mound Course's main challenges are the undulating greens and abundance of sand.

Check for ticks.
Nice course and great value. Pace of play was long but only because groups would not let others play through. If searching for balls in the woods make sure to check for ticks, found 3 during my round.
Always a good time!
Jekyll Island's golf complex always offers a solid, fun round of golf on nicely maintained fairways and greens, and Indian Mounds is certainly no exception. The course has wide welcoming fairways that give players of all levels a good start. At 6,600- yards from the tips the course also is long enough to give even the best players a good workout. Most challenging, though, are the rolling greens, particularly on the par 3s that require golfers hit to a top or bottom tier where the pin is located in order to give themselves a chance at birdie. Play can be a bit slow, especially on holiday weekends, but that also shows that plenty of golfers have figured out what a good deal Jeklyll Island offers.

Well Maintained, playable Course
This was my first golf experience on Jekyll Island, and Indian Mound didn't disappoint. The course was in great shape, and offered just the right amount of challenge for a low 90's golfer.
good course but. needs some maintenence
a few holes are very Wet, drains poorly. and the tee boxes need attention, I found myself looking for level spots. , other than that its a beautiful course.
