Course was great, pace of play awful
Got to the course and knew it would be packed. Played as a pair and had a pair directly in front of us. The group in front of them were 3 carts with 3 adults and 4 kids (3 kids which were hitting). No marshall on the course which allowed singles to skip holes and slow the pace of play down even more. Waited on each tee for 10min most holes.
Slow twosome but nice day
Played here on Sunday, April 30 after a rain storm. Course drained very well, so well that ranger lifted cart path only 2 hours into the round. Very windy once the front passed! Staff was super friendly as always. Greens rolled real nice. A few suffering from bare spots but it didn’t affect play. Only glitch was the slow twosome in front of me. Caught them on the 6th hole and they never let me thru despite a wide open course in front. Still played in 3:15 but would’ve been quicker if not for these guys.
Value for the money
It’s a little far to drive but better course than Point South. Friendly staff good food cold beer.

Very good - especially considering weather
We have had huge amounts of rain lately - some courses have lost greens and fairways. Applewood drains well and they have done a super job of keeping up with the weather conditions.

Fantastic course for the price
Second time playing here and it was better than the first. First time I played was February 2022 and there were some weird spots with winter weather messing with turf grass and some recent rain wash outs. This time, greens and fairways were even better. Greens were fast enough for putting but soft enough to still be able to get a ball to stop on 100yd approach shots. Staff helpful as expected, Cart worked fine and was clean. No issues. Will be coming back again for sure.

Applewood never disappoints. Greens are in probably the best shape I’ve ever seen. Wish I could play every day but it’s a bit of a trek. Love this course.

Fairways were hard and muddy. Hard to get any roll, which made it more difficult. May just be the time of year.

Course is starting to come in. Fairways and chipping areas a bit thin but greens roll pretty good, nothing unusual for this time of the year. Always a challenge.
