When everyone else is cart path. Come here

I’ve played here almost every week, never to wet. The pace is usually 3 hrs. Not bad. Greens need a little work but all courses are struggling now.

Great Course

The staff was very friendly and greens were in decent conditions being the recent weather, but could be improved. The cart paths are very nice and clubhouse is nice. Overall a very good value and great course especially for newer golfers!

Great place to play

I drive 25 miles to play this course. I have NEVER had a bad experience there. The staff is beyond great, they're awesome! Greens are nearly perfect. The pace of play is always reasonable. The layout is fair but like most courses, you must stay on the middle of the course. The only complaint I have is the trees on the left of #10. Several need to be cut down to provide a landing spot. As it is now, few can hit over the trees. For a intermediate golfer there really are no options off of the tee. Other than that, this course is awesome!

Rainy but fun

The staff at Applewood is the greatest. We made the tee time on Sunday and we’re hoping that it wouldn’t be too wet. Unfortunately it was very wet but the staff let us play anyway. It was cartpath only so we decided to just walk and that proved to be an adventure as it started raining on us at the 6th tee… the furthest point from the clubhouse. We stopped at 9 but we were given a rain check. The course was more than gracious to let us attempt to play because most other courses would have closed. I always love playing here and will continue to do so

Awesome experience

I found this on GolfNow and thought ok…inexpensive…not expecting much. They blew away the $100 a round courses I’ve been playing in Northern VA. Course is impeccably maintained. Staff was friendly and rental clubs were brand new. I played Applewood again the very next day. Thanks for the great experience.
