Applewood Golf Course

This is a course in somewhat of the middle of nowhere, but close enough to Augusta and Waynesboro. The course was in very good condition. The greens are going into hibernation for the winter but they still putted well and mostly true. They probably need to roll the greens to smooth them out some, but that's a nitpick. For the most part they were good. Quite firm, but they would accept a well-struck approach and a pitch or chip hit with spin. If you can't do that, expect the ball to bounce and roll out. The fairways were excellent and the bunkers were well maintained.

I think this the best course in the Augusta area for the money and for the average golfer. I love it!

First time on this course. Not very hilly and greens are straightforward, not much undulation. But, they are pretty fast. Bunkers in very good shape (found 2) and mostly clean around the fairways of each hole. Some of the hot deals are even better, on a Sat for instance. Good chipping green and putting green. Didn't try the driving range.

Course was in great shape just 2 days after very high winds from IRMA.

This is a course played by a lot people. U will meet some people u have see before. Very good course for the average player. I play this course a lot.

The course has very long holes and with Bermuda it is almost impossible to shoot for pars unless you can hit long irons to the green, let alone near the pin.

It is a drive from North Augusta Augusta, but we had a great time. The staff was accommodating and friendly. The course was in good shape and pace of play was perfect. We got to be the first ones to use the brand new carts. I would highly recommend and will go back.

Had a great round, the weather was perfect, the course was in great shape. One of my favorite places to play.

After the front 9, I was disappointed in the course. It's a flat piece of property and the holes were fairly boring. But the back 9 design is far superior with multiple strong holes featuring strategically placed ponds, sharper doglegs and better bunker positioning. It's still not an overwhelming challenge, but the back 9 made the trip worthwhile.

Greens were mostly in good condition with decent speed (a couple of them were in poor condition). Tees were average, fairways good and rough thicker enough to cause problems.
