Well kept course, great value, very enjoyable
Had a great round, the weather was perfect, the course was in great shape. One of my favorite places to play.
Back 9 makes it worth a look
After the front 9, I was disappointed in the course. It's a flat piece of property and the holes were fairly boring. But the back 9 design is far superior with multiple strong holes featuring strategically placed ponds, sharper doglegs and better bunker positioning. It's still not an overwhelming challenge, but the back 9 made the trip worthwhile.
Greens were mostly in good condition with decent speed (a couple of them were in poor condition). Tees were average, fairways good and rough thicker enough to cause problems.

Excellent value
We've played Applewood before but this time we found a great deal on GolfNow. Late in the day tee time, finished up around 8:00pm.
Had a great time, definitely an excellent value for the price, course was in surprisingly good condition and playing late in the day was way better than the mid-afternoon blazing heat.
All-in-all a great way to wrap up the weekend...

Best course for the price
I play here every chance I get. It's 10 times better than that 'other' course that's nearby. The greens roll very smooth and quick, and are always in great shape.

Great layout
Course was in pretty good shape the only flaw was the greens was hard as a rock other than that it was good

Good course
Good course, greens are a little tough as there are bunkers in front of almost every green. Greens were just arriated so a little rough but other than that a fun course.

Greens need some TLC
Applewood' greens right now are bad. Don't plan on one holding a ball, cause it's not going to happen. Best to play below the pin or run the ball up... Forget about a true roll, because the greens are loaded with ball marks that haven't been sanded yet. You can tell their trying, but dang...! Other then that the fairways are open and green. The layout is fair and challenging. Applewood give those greens some love!
Great place to play during Masters
First place I have found that didn't double or triple rates because of Masters. Will play it again next year. Down to earth people, very friendly. Back nine very fun.. great holes with risk reward.

Decent Course
This is a great course for those who play a bit wild off the tee box. Most of the course is fairly open leaving a lot of room for error. The green were not particularly receptive to approach shots and were very difficult to read. The greens did not roll very true. The fairways, tee boxes, and bunkers were in fantastic shape, which made up for the greens. Overall, the average golfer would have a great time here. I didn't get a chance to check put the restaurant, but it smelled great.

Nice course great staff.
This was a very nice golf course. It was out in the country off the highway about 3-4 miles. The staff was very nice and made me feel at home. I would recommend this course to anyone who enjoy playing in a quiet place. Lot of nice people playing there also.

A nice round
This is a hidden gem. The course is fairly flat with nice greens very well maintained bunkers. The fairways are slightly narrow, making it challenging for those of us with less control. Our foursome had a great time and will be back again.

Good layout.
This course has a good layout. Lots of bunkers. Some long par fours. Greens are in pretty good shape. I recommend this course and would play again.

The Course is fairly flat and very open. We had a guy that asked to play with us and he knew the course very well and directed us as we approached every hole. Except for No 1, the pace was pretty good. It had some water hazards and plenty of bunkers. The greens were in decent shape for this time of year. The new hole paositions should be flattened when moving them and holes more clean cut. But besides that i will definately play this course again.

Great course for the value. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The course is perfect for any level but really good for beginners to intermediate level. Definitely worth the drive and the value you cannot beat. Play this course.
