About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Embarrassing
The greens are absolutely horrible. Hard to distinguish between the fairways and rough except for the dirt patches, which you might find on both. Even the cart paths are atrocious, and borderline dangerous. First-time playing it, so expectations weren’t high, but I won’t be back. $59 for that course, no matter when or why, is highway robbery!
Has Potential
This course has great potential but the greens are destroyed
They have the bar in the clubhouse but it's always closed.

Good value but …
Easy course layout which is great for the beginner. Green way and tee box is in great condition. However the cart path and green conditions are very bad.

Don't Bother...Seriously
I have played Collins Hill GC for quite a while. I remember playing junior tournaments and high school golf matches there when the nines were swapped. I have even volunteered there when I was a freshman so I could play for free. The sad truth is that the course was just as bad then, as it is now. First off, the man behind the counter barely looked up at me or greeted me in a friendly manner when I walked into the clubhouse.
The golf cart I had had to have had a max speed of 5 because I could run faster than the cart, and I am not a heavy guy. Pace of play wasn't terrible, but incase you are new reading this, if you are holding up a smaller group behind you, let them play through your group. It's just common courtesy and makes it easier for everyone to enjoy their round.
EVERY green has dead spots and al sorts of uneven grain. The middle of the fairways feel like light rough at an quality golf course. The tee boxes have either no turf, or it feels like you're teeing off out of the first cut. The conditions are just plain terrible. The only reason I even decided to play there was that it was close-ish, and at just under 30 bucks, well, you get what you pay for.
If you are even remotely serious about your game, or have any sense of taste, GO ELSEWHERE.

Severely overpriced
The course is in terrible condition. There is hardly any grass on the greens at all. Dirt fairways. I would not recommend this course to anyone. Absolutely way too much money for a course in this bad of shape.

Needs work
This Is a fun little course but could be sooooo much better if manageable would focus on two key areas: condition of greens and cart paths. Both were deplorable.

Need to fix the cart paths
Collins Hill is close by me and affordable. Pace of play is good - you don't get rushed much which I like but, OMG ~ Please fix the cart paths, especially the last 3 holes! I noticed weeds bumps on the green, tee boxes with rough grasses. Not much options for food/drinks at the clubhouse FYI.
This course has a big potential with a bit more maintenance efforts.

Nice corse with time and money
Nice layout nice location, would be great but greens were pitiful and bunkers had more gravel than sand or where overgrown. Just a little time, money, and effort could make this place great. But as for right now it’s definitely not worth what they are charging. I can’t see returning anytime soon.

Greens are horrible
Played here about 6 weeks ago and the greens were good. Today, however the greens were absolutely horrible. Divots the size of basketballs, absolutely no grass, mud, someone drove across several of them. Cart path is a joke.

Rough shape
Course is fine for the most part but the greens are brutal right now. Moldy and gross. Like putting on concrete

Decent course, decent value, poor range
The only unfortunate thing about this course is that their range does not allow for drivers to be used and is mats only.

Better than average
First of all, its location is good.
Staff is friendly.
However, the road the cart was going on was damaged, so the road needs to be repaired.
Other than this, it was good.
