About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

First timer
Gotta say I was pretty impressed with the course. The starter and staff were super good. Booked on GN and was able to add my son last minute. Course had a lot of blind spots so I had a couple ball disappear on me. Definitely a shot makers course. Was a little slow but was to be expected and still finished in 4 hours!

Overall good course for the price
The course was in a good condition, except some areas. Many sections of the cart path were in very bad shape. Most of the greens were well kept. I think it will need some signs where is the next hole, as I got lost couple time.

Consistent Greens
Overall the course is in good shape. The cart paths and areas around them are in rough shape. Some of the tee boxes are worn out. The greens rolled well with the exception of some of the outer areas that had dead spots that had to be avoided. It's a good deal on teeoff.com, but full price is too high for the rough spots.

Excellent environment, just one recommendation: The cart route in Hole 16, please repair it so as not to damage the grass

Collins Hill was always rough. Sunday was the best I’ve ever seen it. Greens rolled fairly true, grass in all the fairways and tee boxes.
Most of the bad greens and bad fairways have been improved. If you played Collins Hill a while back and thought it sucked, I recommend you give it another shot.

I palyed on a Saturday morning, and the green fee was reasonable and the club rental was $15. I enjoyed rounding while smelling the scent of wood.
