About
Collins Hills Golf Club is a little known course to outsiders, but it is a local favorite. The traditional parkland layout tumbles across a rolling terrain. The golf course features small, undulating greens and narrows fairways bordered by towering trees. The layout demands accuracy especially with the numerous sand bunkers that have been incorporated into the design. Several ponds and lakes are scattered across the course, coming into play on seven holes. The layout has its challenges but it is still gentle enough to accommodate a variety of different skill levels. Before playing, golfers can warm up on the driving range or utilize the other practice facilities. Collins Hills Golf Club's atmosphere definitely plays a role in the club's popularity, offering all of the amenities of a private club with a casual and friendly setting

Old faithful
I've been playing here over 10 years off and on when i started back playing. Started taking golf serious during covid and i dropped strokes right here at CH. The chipping area is nice and so is the putting area. The challenges will keep you coming back! Recently i shot my lowest here a 81 came back the next day shot a 102!!! No course is perfect. If you can play here you can play Anywhere! If i dont visit other courses with friends I'll come right here and pair up with someone or play alone either way its alot of fun just take your time on a narrow fairways.

Deplorable
The greens were made of black moss with infiltration of weeds. Fairways were muddy with clumps of weeds. It’s a shame for a course conditions to get so bad
Not that bad
Over rated and over priced
I’ve played a lot of courses over my lifetime and this course was the worst conditions I’ve played. I paid $44 for an evening tee time and that was too much. If you want to learn go for it, if you want to enjoy play other places.

Green is in very poor condition
Overgrown weeds or very little grass left on the greens. Putting feels almost like putting on dirt. There’s very little green left to stop the ball.

Value
This is a muni. A well laid out, interesting muni. It’s well worth the more than reasonable greens fee. And compared to some of the surrounding courses Collins Hill gives you as much value for your money as you’re going to find locally. This is a great place to take your kids as most of the front nine has open run up to the greens. Which is great for those just learning the game.

Save your money
For 60 bucks a round you get greens covered in some type of weed that make it very bumpy. Slow greens half the time lighting greens other half. Fairways are decent at best and the cart paths are horrendous. 18th cart path is like a bombed out street in Iraq circa 2002. If you got 15 bucks more play somewhere see for 70-75 bucks trust me.

Terrible condition
They have really let this place go. Course is in terrible condition. Not worth more than $25 greens fee. They are way overpriced!

Solid Coarse
Coming off winter so coarse was as expected. Good hole layouts. Always enjoy playing here.

The greens are terrible and the course still has drainage issues. Too much money for the condition of the course.

Weekday afternoon, horrible pace of play
Pace of play was awful. Weekend rates are ridiculous for how bad of shape this course is in. Good value for a weekday twilight tee time if you’re willing to risk not finishing and don’t care about quality of greens

Golf
Course was fun. I hadn't played it in a couple of years. The par 3 on the back nine was tough. Balls like to go back down the hill. Staff was very friendly even though I was wearing a Tennessee shirt.😉 The cart girl could have come by more often, but I remember when you didn't have one. I will definitely be back.
