Monroe Golf & Country Club
About
Monroe Golf & Country Club sprawls across gently rolling hills blanketed with mature hardwood forests. Opened in 1957, the course has a classic design that is playable for all skill levels but will still provide a challenge. The golf course is mostly flat but there are some subtly tricky elevation changes that can be found throughout. Pristine white sand bunkers contrast beautifully with the green of the course. Water hazards come into play on a few holes and towering trees line the fairways. The greens are fast and the rough can be punishing. It's a layout that demands accuracy but it's not overly difficult for the high handicapper. In addition to the golf course, Monroe also offers a large practice putting green and a driving range with a bunker.

Very good to go
it was so good to play.
only one thing, after raining is little bit muddy around water.
Windy day !!
Cold & windy but nice out.
Greens are good.
See you next weekend
No heads up on aerated greens
The course isn’t bad, normally enjoy playing it. Booked online with no alerts. Get there and the greens are punched and sandy. Would not have played if we knew. I called GolfNow to see why we weren’t told and they said it is Monroe CC responsibility to let them know the conditions. So it looks like the club valued money over honesty. Pretty disappointed.
Loved this course
Great layout and condition. Greens rolled great even though they had been punched the week before.
Course management!
It only takes 1 bad thing to sour a complete round of golf. I can tell you that the course is in good shape, the greens are also good and true. I can slso tell you that the bunkers are being reconditioned. All of this is overshadowed by poor course management. The last few times I've played here the pace of play has been ridiculous...in particular, the last 2 times have taken in excess of 5 hours. They are allowing fivesomes and sixsomes without monitoring their pace of play. It was so bad last week that we skipped a hole to get ahead of the group and the next group was 3 full holes ahead. With a tee time of 1:00, you wouldn't expect to run out of daylight - I was wrong. This course could be a REALLY nice golf facility but things have to change.
Chilly Round!!
Course was in excellent shape and the greens rolled a little fast today. Course is not overly difficult no gimmicky holes at all. Staff always nice to you as well as the other golfers. Had to endure a frost delay which was expected. Day ended up really nice.
Nice Tract.
The course is well maintained . Greens were great and fairways were in excellent shape.
Great greens.
One of the few courses around with quality bent grass greens. If you like putting on bent grass you will like this course. Course is always well maintained. There are a few low lying holes that get soggy after a rain. Many of the fairways run parallel which makes it more forgiving if you hit an errant tee shot. Pace of play can be a little slow if you get behind a member fivesome! There is no Marshall on course to monitor pace of play.
Monroe greens in great shape.
Played wed afternoon with a member. Greens had been punched about 2.5 weeks ago but have totally healed. They are in great shape.
Staff excellent as always. Highly recommend
We will be back.
Great course at providence.
Greens in super shape. Played a foursome in great time. Will be back.
Nice course
Well maintained, nice layout. Staff isn't too friendly. Hope to play there again. Good value.
