Horrible!!
It was SOOOOOO bad! Rough is ridiculous, greens are chopped up and fairways have mud ruts from carts! I should have known better to play from previous reviews as well as the cheap price. The only saving was that it was a sunny day. I won’t be back. Don’t waste your time or money.
Worst course wver
New to Savannah and trying to find a nice cheap course and this is the closest so I scheduled an early tee time before my classes. Showed up and club house didn’t open until 7 (my tee time was at 7). I booked it for me and my buddy who couldn’t make it and the guy at the counter baffled me and was on me because my friend wasn’t there and said I had to pay for both anyways or I couldn’t play and after 10 minutes finally let me go with paying for just 1. Then got out the first tee box which wasn’t bad and the fairway was okay but the greens were literal bunkers. I’ve played bad courses and sometimes I understand but every green was covered in craters and sand and dirt. And on top of all of that the cart part disappears into just mud and dirt on 90% of the holes and you have to literally go mudbogging to get to the fairway. Plus on one hole I followed the cart path to get to my ball and my cart shut off saying i was in a restricted area when I was on the cart path.
Worst course I’ve ever played will never go back.

Slooooooow
They allow a blitz to go off and it’s 4 to 5 groups of 4 and they play so incredibly slow. Once you get behind them good luck the worst attitude by the men playing. They are all in their 60s and feel like they own the place. Although I paid very little for this round I refuse to come back here again. 5 hour round on a links course that’s so tightly packed together is unacceptable

Great course
I really enjoyed this course. The gps system on the carts were amazing to see what distance I was from the front and back of the green. I had a superb experience I’ll definitely be back when I’m in Savannah again.
Golf pass scheduled tee time on a closed course

Nothing bad to say. It’s municipal and with that comes limitations in what staff can do.

Not bad.
The course needs to update renovate and fix there restrooms. It would be more beneficial to use the woods than try to use their restrooms.

Bacon Park 7/12
This was the 3rd time I have played this course.
Firstly the gentleman that checked us in was rude and abrupt. He couldn’t even be bothered to give us time to order drinks and the course was fairly empty.
We could see that the first 3 holes were clear but by the time my partner and I had got to hole 5 we had caught up with a SIX ball!
They were taking around 25 minutes per hole!
We will not return.

Over priced
They punched the greens less than a week and are charging full rate. Should be discounted.

We went to play bacon Park on a Father’s Day weekend with my brothers and father and they had a tournament that came out that overbooked so the teetimes were our behind and we were playing from out of town so we had to cancel our teatime

Poor shape
Course wasn’t being taken of like in the past, fairways were dry, some greens were in bad shape. I like the course setup, it just needs some better maintenance before I show up again, including the clubhouse needs updating from the 80’s!
