Henderson Golf Club

This was a tough test from the tips. Bring some extra balls if you are not a good course manager. Lots of water, marsh/environmental area and very tight in certain spots. Course was a little wet after several days of rain but a GREAT layout. I can't wait to come back to Savannah because this will be a return trip for sure. The only thing I would like to see is the course being marked a little better and possibly a yardage book to provide some insight ESPECIALLY would be helpful if you have never played here. Was happy to get out of there with a 77 from the tips never seeing the courise and didn't lose a single ball.

It was a fun experience but bring some extra balls cause this is a challenging course for the below average player. Most holes are tight and have water, so a slight miss losses the ball.
There were a few days of heavy rain before I played and the course was still very soggy.
The snack bar is closed on the weekends.

My first time golfing in Georgia, so I can't speak too intelligently of the area. I had a great time, beautiful scenery and well maintained course. Nice to have a mini cooler mounted on the carts w complimentary water. Great course for the money.

A challenging course that definitely requires handicap consideration. Minor ground repairs in progress with the potentials of higher ranking next year.

I was paired up with three other players who were about the same skill level as myself and who also had played the course before. The course was in excellent condition and the day was perfect. We allowed one twosome to play through, and we still had to wait average times to hit on most holes. Not complaining, just normal for the crowd. Gordon, the staffer, was extremely proficient and very accommodating for all players. Overall, it was a great day for my birthday outing with the added bonus of my best round of golf in a very long time. I moved up to the senior tees (age 73 today) and definitely improved my scoring chances as well as increased the pace of play. Will definitely recommend the course to others.

Course maintenance is needed, but I did see people out working on course. Bunker and traps need to be cleaned up. Had a maintenance issue with my cart, battery cable burnt up and I was stranded on hole 5. Thankfully I'm mechanically inclined and was able to doctor it to the club house to get another cart. All in all the course itself is nice. Narrow, so it's important to hit the fairways and not over swing. After golf cart issue, I enjoyed the rest of my round.

A good course for a nice relaxing round with a cart. A few challenges but nothing out of the ordinary.

Henderson is a course that has many attractions. Water plays into many shots, tee shots with carry and tight wooded areas.

You can score if you hit it straight.

Played as a single, God Forbid! But I had a fast uneventful round not because of the lack of players, 98* temps, but because of placement. Thanks for the fast affordable round.

Got this course for pretty cheap using the Golf Now app and I recommend anyone who is thinking about playing. I will definitely play this course again

Like the lay out of holes. About the same amount of dog legs left as rights. I would play it again for what i paid. course was in pretty good shape other than the traps, they were filled with water.

Fast greens... I don't know when it had last rained and it didn't rain that day but their was standing water in a lot of bunkers and around greens... Good upkeep and no bs when checking in I like it

Good course, shotmakers course so it is not a spray and pray layout. Greens were rolling true and fast which is nice. Staff is always great. For the money it's worth a shot. Also, their sister course Crosswinds is a must try.

Decent public course, no room for error on several tees due to narrow tees and hazards before the fairways., very challenging. Greens were in great shape.They included 2 bottles of water in the cooler on the cart. I would play again next time I come here. Somehow Golf Now puts the wrong address for Google maps on my phone, I ended up at some dead end 7 miles away from the course.

Chris and the team are doing a great job transforming this course. Narrow course, lots of hills, water and traps. Always loved the challenge this course provides. Only thing they need to improve is the cafe and the sand traps. The cafe was not operating and the sand traps have been as hard as the parking lot forever.

A nice course to play on vacation.The greens and fairways were in very good shape for a public course.Make sure you get extra water bottles since there is no water on the course.

Tees, fairways, and greens especially on the second 9 were rock hard. Good shots didn't hold the greens.
Well placed tee shots often rolled sideways into hazards. A jackhammer would have been helpful to get tees into the ground. Don't know how previous reviewers could say this course is in good condition.

Thhis is always in pretty good shape. The staff is always friendly and readily available for assistance. The course is fairly narrow, lng and is built for a shot maker. The fairways have doglegs that turn in both directions. The traps need a little fluffing, but are numerous and placed in strategic locations. The greens are pretty quick but not to undulating. A good course for both the beginner and more advanced golfer.

Hit straight on 18 ! Water on the left the entire hole. Good challenge for any level golfer. Beginners should play the front tees.
