About
Henderson Golf Club is a local favorite since it is the most affordable public course in Savannah. The course wanders across a scenic landscape accented with towering pines, pristine wetlands, colorful magnolia trees, and mature oaks artfully draped with Spanish moss. Playing the golf course is like getting two for one with a front nine that is almost completely open, much like a traditional links course, while the back nine is narrower with trees lining the fairways. The undulating greens are tricky since they are bordered by generous collars that require a delicate touch. The nines have a different character from one another but they are equally challenging. Henderson Golf Club is a manageable length at 6,700 yards from the back tees. It's a layout that favors accuracy, strategy, and creative shot making over distance.

Fun place to play
people are friendly and the course is in great shape it is a great place to play great value for the money
Lot of fun
Greens in good shape. they give 2 bottles of water in the cooler. and more @ the turn. On hot days, that isn't enough.

Course is coming along good since new management took over!! Go to be one of my favorite courses for golfing on a budget

NIce course
Nice course but challenging they need a marshall because people jump holes and start on any hole they want.
Excellent value
Very good value for money. The course was in good condition and we both enjoyed the club which although dry was in good condition.
Very challenging course.
Course was it great shape the greens were excellent. This course is super tight! Tree lines hug the fairways. Henderson golf really works on iron play.

Not worth the money
Not worth the price. The price needs to be around $30 for it to be worth it. The greens were great but the coarse had a very funny lay out
Gnats
Gnats everywhere! I couldn't even hit balls on the range. A swarm of bugs attacked me, leaving bite marks all over my legs. Hard to focus with a cloud of bugs around .
Tight but just right
Nice course for the money. Tough par 4's. Play the White tees if not single digit Hcp.
Some variety, some water hazards, fun course
Course is in very good shape, staff is friendly, and we enjoyed playing there our 3rd time. Windy. Lots of interesting wildlife, incl. hawks, eagles, deer, cranes, turtles--but we did not see any gators.
Worth the money
Course was in ok conditions due to some irrigation work and bunker reconstruction. It was fun and the weather was perfect!

Great possibilities!
This course has a great layout but still needs some TLC. We were shocked that the food bar was closed as it would have been great to grab some coffee and hot chocolate a cold as it was playing that day. I would defiantly play this course again.
The course was challenging from its narrow fairways to its various green features.
I have played this course a lot over the years and it has always been challenging. I especially like to play Henderson when I am hitting the ball well, because if you are not you will have a long day. The staff always treats me courteously.

The greens were in pristine condition. Fairways were cut and looked great.

Only one complaint
This course has seen many improvements since the new owners took over. However, the greenside bunkers desperately need sand. I played out of two until I got tired of finding hard ground each time. I laid out of any others I found. It's really an easy fix.

Not sure why you had to pay more than $30 to play. The standard price with a cart is usually around $34 and you can usually find a golf now deal for around $24. For that price it is actually a great deal.
