Southbridge Savannah Golf Club

Overall the course was in pretty good shape. Greens need some work, but they rolled fast and true. Very well marked, not a course you can walk though. Most holes have wide fairways with room to get out of trouble. Be sure to get a yardage book in the Pro Shop before you start your round. I will definitely play this one again.

The course is just fine. But the staff, grounds keepers, and older club members are all incredibly rude and inconsiderate. I've played here many times and experience the same things each time. Mowers in the middle of the fairway during tee shots and cutting the greens while you're on the approach. Older club members will question your tee times because they need to get thier morning scramble over with and will ask to jump in front and then slow down thier pace of play. I go here because it's fairly inexpensive and close to my work so I can squeeze in 18 holes before work. I would not pay the full price to play here just because of these constant issues. If the owners read this think about this, non members pay each time they play and in many instances will purchase beer and range balls. A foursome will spend more than what a club member will have spent for thier membership that month. The walk ins are your money makers. In the past I have played with a group of friends here and each of us spent over 100 bucks. That's an easy 450-500 for four people. Get a handle on your members behavior.

course was super dry, which is good. greens were wicked fast, which is good. greens looked like they might be close to dying. hopefully the recent rain helps.

Course played well and in decent shape, greens fast and hard and unforgiving which made it a challenge . The cart path on the other hand should be labeled an off roading course it is sooooo rough and bumpy

i have played this course numerous times in the past 6-8 months. I keep waiting for the greens to improve. Today, when we reached the third tee (a par three), there were two greenskeepers working on the green. They basically ignored us for several minutes, so we hollered fore! and hit up. With the dew, there was a lot of glare and I couldn't see where my ball had ended (it was just off the back edge). I asked them if they had seen it and one of them said no and apologized. No big deal except it means they didn't even stop to watch,putting them at risk of getting hit. As I went to my ball I thought " wait a minute , the pin was on the right side and back when i hit which meant I would have had 10-12 feet for birdie. when I got to my ball I realized they had moved the cup while we were driving up to the green to left center. I asked if he moved the pin because I really couldn't believe he would do that WHILE someone was playing the hole! He just laughed and said"yeah we were supposed to move the cup today". i realize help is just about impossible to get right now,but this might be a teaching moment for staff.

The golf courses holes are challenging. The layout for a player walking has too many long gaps between holes. The greens are almost grassless. The tee boxes are in need of some work. The fairways are coming in as the spring weather is finally here although we have not had much rain. The cart paths are being upgraded. The pace of play was good. The staff was very helpful. They need to conitnue to work on improving the golf course.

Southbridge was once a premier course in and around Savannah. I played it often but now has lost its appeal. Great layout, but poor condition. I think it’s now under new management and hopefully will improve. Not worth the money in its current condition.

They need to water their greens. They're burnt to a crisp. Almost a waste of time to even attempt to put. Too bad, as it's a nice course otherwise.
