The only thing to many groups playing to slow so I’m stuck!

This was my first time playing this course and I was delighted in the condition of the course. This is a very deceptive course as it can appear to be easy because it has several Par 4's that are not that long, but definitely require accurate shots. They bring in more challenges by having greens protected by bunkers and streams, plus a few doglegs to add the to mix. There also are a few over the water shots especially to elevated greens. If you don't let the challenges fool you and just relax you can have a good round of golf here. The 19th hole was relaxing and the food was good. The greens were exceptional and pin placements required good reads on your putts. All in all this was a great course that I would recommend to anyone of all levels and it will challenge even the best of golfers. I look forward to playing it again. We played a round in right at 4 hours although we were a twosome and always was waiting on the foursome group in front of us, but it was an enjoyable time.

This used to be a good track, but it seems like it's going down hill fast....just nothing really good about it besides very cheap during the week.

Hilldale is in fantastic shape for a public course, especially considering the combination of heat and rain we received in late May. If you hit fairways this course is pretty easy. Even from the blue tees it's very short with a couple of reachable par 4's on the back nine. Very much risk reward. The more aggressive you are off the tee the more trouble you bring in to play. Pace of play could have been better but it was 90 degrees outside so I'll cut some slack there. For the money, a great value, close to home, and definitely a course I enjoy playing a few times a summer.

A great course with many fun hole a real shot makers course. If you do not drive well you will not score well here. It has a slope rating over 130 so if you are not a single handing cap play the white tees

Pace of play was good for a Sun afternoon, finished up just under 4 1/2 hours. Greens are quick and in good shape. Would like to see the traps improved as they are a little thin on sand. Didn't see the refreshment cart on the back 9 which was disappointing. Got a great deal on the rate so really was a good deal .

Awful, awful course management. I was supposed to be in a 4some but 2 guys were late so they let us 2 go out. We were behind a bunch of 4somes and we had a 2some behind us and a single behind them. 2 groups in front of us were going so slowly that on the 8th hole.....3 groups were waiting to tee off. Ranger kept going by but the pace never improved. After 3hrs and 45min i had just finished the 13th hole and that was all i could take and just left the course at that point. Its a decent course but their management is awful. Spare yourself an agonizingly slow round and just go elsewhere.

Course in great condition ,greens rolled true ,very fast. Pace of play very good. The one negative ,ruff was a little to high.
