Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course

Played 3 holes today and gave up. The course is completely saturated and needs weeks to dry out. Every shot requires a drop (assuming your ball is plugged and lost in the muck). Greens were aerated about 2 weeks ago and haven't recovered yet either. They really should close the course and let it rest until it dries out, but then again it's all about making money.

On the golf now website the course was not showing (A!) for Aerification Alert.. The staff at check in didn't inform me that the greens had been punched.. had the website shown this or Staff stated this at check in I would not have played the course.

The greens were recently punched and the courses was extremely wet. I suggest waiting a few week before you play either. Ourse.

The course was the wettest golf course I have ever played on. It had rained a little bit over the past few days but not enough to justify the wetness of the course. Hope they get this resolved.

Remember to bring 15$ to enter Stone Mountain Park, you have to pay a fee even if you not planning on sight seing. Greens were freshly aerated, golf now failed to put a little "A" sign into the conditions so call ahead and ask.

For the value of the round, the course is great! The course was well maintained and provided a little challenge on each hole. You must hit your drives straight otherwise you will be hitting out of the woods trying to save par. I will definitely be back to play this course

The course play wasn't at its best due to the hard winter. There was a tournament going on so I only got to finish 14 holes. Overall still a good course to play and enjoy the outdoors.

I played the Stonemont course during the week and completed my round under 3-1/2 hours. The course condition (winter) allowed for a great golf experience. I highly recommend playing either course ---- managed by a great golf staff.

Great course, have played there several times but the greens are typically in MUCH better shape.

I intended to play 18 but for some reason golfers were allowed to start on 10 so when I arrived at the second nine pace became very slow . I did not finish my round and left the course . I was not happy since I have played this course before and always had a good round. The management did not seem to care that I could not finish my round.

Excellent day out but we had a bit of rain.
The greens undulate and make it challenging.
Would recommend and will go again.

Tough course especially if this is your first time. Some tough blind holes with some awkward lies. Good test of your game. Some pretty views of Stone Mountain.

Overall, a great round. Course was a little chopped up in a few spots, but overall a nice track.

I played this course as part of a tournament. It was the worst tournament course I have ever played. The tee boxes were uneven. The fringe was pocked and rutted by maintenance equipment. The greens were the worst I have ever seen. They were hairy in spots, and completely bare in others. One green had half freshly sodded, and un puttable. It wasn't even marked. The greens were also hacked up with many mower gouges and gasoline leaks. I cannot image paying money to play this course.

We played the Stonemont course at Stone Mountain, definitely the more challenging of the 2 courses. There is a lot of elevation and interesting holes.So nice to be on a golf course that is not stuck in the middle of a subdivision of homes. Would play this again. Only downside was the state of the greens, several ball marks and poor growing patches. There is a $10 entry fee into the Stone Mountain park which was a bit of a surprise too.

Was a great day to play. Low 80's. Fairways were in excellent condition. Most greens ok but some a little bare. Staff was very nice. This is a very interesting 18 hole layout. Always enjoy this 18.

We were in town on vacation and I booked a tee time on line. However when we showed up I had booked the wrong day. A young lady who was working that morning was able to get us out on the course and honored the rate I booked on line. I believe her name was Kelly? All the staff that we encountered that day were very friendly. I would recommend this course to anyone. The only criticism I have was that some of the greens were not in good shape at all.

The course was in good shape with greens almost recovered from recent aerification. Some rough patches on the greens, but the starter said they are being repaired next week.
I had not played this course in a few years and had forgotten how long it plays - especially the par 3s. Most tee shots have to navigate around some trees, or they will end up running through the doglegs. There is also a lot of slope in the fairways and some on the greens. There were some soggy wet spots in the rough here and there.
Overall, good conditions and a challenging layout.

Good course with the exception of fresh grass trimmings in fairways!

The grass on the greens was quite patchy. All other features of the course were very good. It is scenic, rewards accurate shots because of woods close on both sides on quite a few holes. But the greens were an annoyance this time.
