Stonemont at Stone Mountain Golf Course
About
Stone Mountain Golf Club sits at the base of one of the Southeast's most popular attractions, Stone Mountain. The club offers two 18-hole courses, Lakemont and Stonemont. The Stonemont Course is the club's original layout, designed by Robert Trent Jones. The gentle hills surrounding the mountain provide the golf course with rolling fairways and greens. The contours are subtle, but they can be deceiving. The classic but tricky layout requires careful strategy and course management in addition to accuracy. The course is routed around the mountain and its accompanying lake, weaving through dense forests of Georgia pine. The layout features narrow fairways, but one of the most challenging features are the numerous bunkers strategically placed throughout. Since opening in 1969, Stone Mountain's Stonemont Course has hosted numerous events, both local and national.

Stonemont is a fun course
Stonemont was in good shape and the weather great!
excess water vin front of many greens
this course plays long enough.....casual water in front of many greens severely impacted playability
Sonemont course
We played early in the morning No-one around. The course was in good shape. We found it challenging but enjoyable.
When we come back to Stone Mountain we will definitely play it again.
Heaven
If there's a golf course in heaven, this would be it. If there's one in Hatties, this would be it too. Very challenging but very enjoyable at the same time. I'll be back again soon.
Good value with option of two courses
Both courses are in very good shape, pace of play was very good
Very nice course to play
We enjoyed our round. It was a late and slow start though. The back nine was much faster than the front.
Great course!
Course was in great condition. Greens rolled smooth. Fairways are nice but you are in trouble if you go off them. Great value for a quick round. Played at 5:30 and finished by 8:30. I reccomend.
Great quick round!
Course was in great shape. Played in just under 3 hours. Saw two other groups which we never ran into. Played at 5pm. Greens were smooth and rolled nice. Fairways were nice but make sure to not leave them or you could be in for some serious trouble. 5 stars.
Course in excellent shape.
The fairways and greens where in excellent shape, but there were a few tee boxes that could use a little extra attention.
A must play!!!!!!!!!!
Everything about this course is first rate, from the staff to the picturesque views of Stone Mountain and the lakes!!!!!! This place keeps me coming back over and over!!!!!!!
Nice Property
Really enjoyed this course, it was in good condition given the poor recent weather. Interesting layout with dog legs going both ways.
masters week
Very Scenic Course in a Great location. But the Conditions were brutal. rate the Greens at a 5. Some tee boxes were dead. Fairways were brutal. Played the Bears Best the day before and the conditions were so good that we played a back to back round there. Having said that, I don't see a weather excuse for this course being in such bad shape.
Still in winter shape.
Was soggy and greens not in the best shape. In a month with be much better.
Terrible shape - Terrible value
The course was in terrible shape. Fairways were soggy and a complete pain to play off of. The greens were some of the worst greens I have ever played on. Diseased and bumpy.. extremely inconsistent. This is most definitely not worth the $45 cost. I would MAYBE pay $20 to play here. I hope they are planning on renovating the greens ASAP. I understand it is just now warming up but I have played 4 other courses this year that cost the same or less than this in the past month that are 10x nicer. A beer off the cart was $6! This is not a Braves game! After paying to get in the park, paying $45 to play a terrible course, that was icing on the cake.
Staff was very friendly as normal. That's about the only good thing I have to say.
Pretty Good, lots of hackers
Looking forward to seeing this course in better condition once the grass starts to green again. It was pretty crowded and saw a lot of golfers hitting from the wrong fairway. Overall I like it and will be playing there again.
Practice facilities are very good but no putting green when you get to the starter. You have to putt first at the clubhouse, and then go over to the range and chipping green.
Pretty solid course, little pricey
Good course but greens could use some work and the cost was a little higher than I believe it should be.
Still not sure about Stone Mountain
I've played the course for 5 years now. The past 12 months is the worst shape I've seen it in. Lakemont is closed as they have been doing work on it, which I applaud. The greens on Stonemont, which used to be very true and fast and are a little bumpy. It's a good course, where you have to drive the ball well, but it's not as pristine as it once was. I hope the spring and summer see this course return to a better shape.
Great course with unique features
Challenging layout that is playable for all levels of players. Jumps right into it on number one. Greens were in a bit of distress (spiked up) mostly due to a tournament played earlier. Beautiful views of Stone Mountain on numerous holes.
Great value.
Everyone friendly. There are 2 courses and it was a bit confusing to find the first hole. The course was wide open and in excellent condition.
