A Fun Challenge
Really enjoyed playing this course. Found it to be a gem of a course. The bunkers need work for sure. But just stay out of them ;) lol I used every club in the bag. Lots of twist and turns.

Solid course difficult layout, kept the driver in the bag a lot played more tactile shots working around the super hilly course layout.

Incredibly disappointing
Years ago this was a beautiful course. Well maintained and a challenging lay-out. The tee boxes looked like they called in an air strike, the greens were over run with fungus and horribly maintained. Fairway bunkers had weeds going in them and several of the fairways were bare ground no grass to be found. An incredible waste of $130.00. Club Corp has abandoned this course, which is a real tragedy. Find another course, this one isn’t worth the money.

Hard pan
Course was in good shape but hadn’t been watered much. So lots of fairways were hitting off hard pan. It is target golf, which isn’t bad. Just be ready to leave your driver in the bag.

Ok
Fairways were a little overgrown with occasional patches of thick grass and weed. Little to zero sand in bunkers. Greens were a little fluffy and slow which resulted in little to no break. A few times I had to remind myself than I was @ Smoky (Smokerise) not Wasteland (Southland). Would not recommend unless you get hot deal... not worth full price

Course is very good but facilities & sfaff attitude need to be improved.

Attitude of staff was not kind enough to non member &
Lunch menu was only hotdog, self serve in the proshop at basement not 1st floor, some wooden steps were rotten.
Hope to go back with corrected minor issues.

Great Outing
First time playing this course and it was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful, the carts were really nice and the course was well maintained. This is a very narrow course and you might want to leave your driver in the bag for many of the holes. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a challenge on a great course.

It’s priced right!!
Well let me start by saying it was only $36. The carts are amazing. The bunkers are literally unplayable. Haven’t been maintained in months. Tee boxes are in rough shape but who cares. Fairways are ok at best. The chemical budget must be bare bones because the weeds are getting out of hand. The greens are pretty much dying slowly on the front. The backside greens look really good for the most part. Without knowing if the greens suffered from disease or not. I’d say fans would be a big help in some of those low lying areas to help with the greens. They also were extremely soft so I imagine someone is over watering to try and keep them alive with a short staff. My real beef with the course was no water coolers on the course and no cart girls. I was told they were at the pool. For $36 I can handle the other stuff but not a heat stroke because of nothing to drink. Smh

Super friendly staff & challenging course
Only downside is that a few of the greens were in horrendous shape and the carts are a pain with tha constant shutting off and slow reverse and on and on.

Tough layout, tougher conditions
The positive rating is essentially for the staff. Very happy, kind, and personable people.
The course is in need of a huge tune up. All the tee boxes are shot, greens and fairways also in subpar shape. A lot of hard grassless dirt in the fairways that’ll bounce your perfect drive into oblivion. Couple that with broken drains in the middle of a fairway for your ball to funnel down and you’re having a tough day. Bunkers are unplayable. In fact, I watched my ball roll into the front of one fairway bunker and ramp up the far back side into the air and into the woods.
Back 9 in better shape than front.
