Disappointed
Course is bad shape...fairways aren't even cut tight. Greens patchy. No turn at 9...told get drinks at club house...no cart girl...won't play again or recommend to people.

Value course
Good, basic golf for the money. Shirley, Rudy, Jace, Scott, and Lee are all super nice. It's not pristine but $25 is fair. Views of Stone Mountain from 16, 17, and 18 are terrific.

Bit slow but great conditions
Pace is a bit slow but conditions are very good. It’s a fun course. Course has many blind shots, which can be a pain if people in front are playing slow. Great value and gets more fun the more you play here.

This course had horrible customer service and conditions. We went with three people, the course conditions were not good, especially the driving range. People in clubhouse treated us like a nuisance, shortly after our round the did not even have the restrooms open in the clubhouse, staff was upset we even asked. Would not go back to this course, pay a little more and find better

$25 practice round
I like Southland. Been playing it for 20 years. Tee boxes are so-so, fairways are decent, greens are good but slow. A few bunkers are being redone but they are letting others return to nature. Look, if you're expecting Pebble Beach, this ain't it. But for $25, it's a fair deal. Bring your own water and snacks. I've always found the staff to be friendly and social. Helpful hint - all the holes pinch towards the greens, so your approaches need to be on point.

You get what you pay for....
The price is cheap....and the course isn't good. The clubhouse woman was very friendly and the office was stocked well. The course conditions were so poor I'm wondering if this course is going to close. Tee boxes dirt, sand traps that look like they have not seen sand in months, I had to pull my ball from a number of traps and put them on grass since there was nothing but rocks in them. Some of the greens were weed infested and some had holes filled with sand and covered with metal screens....never seen that before. Cart paths were broken up badly in some places. Overall it looked the worst I've seen it in over five years. Won't be returning.

I had played this course when it first opened a number of times, it was really a nice course. We had company outings there. Unfortunately the course hasn't been kept up well. The majority of the sand traps had grass growing in them or had a ton of rocks, the greens were bumpy with weeds on them and the fairways needed work. The last 4 holes were actually in pretty good shape but the front 9 needs some work.

Decent for the price
You get what you pay for, tee box’s are trash. Zero club house amenities. Zero cart girls.

Pace of play was very slow, but it was also Saturday. 2 of us took 4 hours and 30 min and played through a group.
The course layout is fun, there are several thought provoking holes.
Greens are in good enough condition for the cost of the course. They are however inconsistent in speed., most likely due to shading of a course lined with trees

This course is struggle compared to 1 year ago.
I have played this course occasionally for over a decade and it is slipping into some of the worse conditions I have ever seen it in. There are weeds in the greens. Some greens have these anchored screen patches that are a new one on me. Tee boxes are terrible and fairways have been much better in the past. Only one bunker had sand.
I like the layout and it has one of Atlanta's best closing holes. I hope they get it together.
