Sugar Hill Golf Club

I’ve played here before but the change in elevation and the quality of the greens made for some excellent golf. Also a great value.

I've been to this location multiple times in the past and have decent experiences golfing there. But this last time on Dec 15 will be my last because of the very disappointing experience I had there.

1. The wait time for each hole was at least 10~15 minutes long. It made for a disappointing golfing experience.

2. There was one group ahead of me that was taking especially long, was rowdy, had very loud music playing from their cart, and was uncourteous to the many other players waiting for our turns, myself included (there were at least 5 groups behind me). When I politely asked if they minded if I as a only 2 player could go ahead of their large group, they were unnecessarily rude to my request. A man in the group said he was the manager of the place so he was entitled to go at whatever pace he pleased and he and his friends were having a good time. He and his friends were visibly intoxicated. He told me that "if I didn't like playing here then I can take my money elsewhere". When I told him that I didnt appreciate his attitude and rude manner he was speaking to me, e even went as far as to tell me that "he never wants to see me at his golf course again". His behavior and comments were beyond appalling.

Don't wasting time and no stress

Had a great time playing this course. Overall course conditions were decent and the greens were in great shape. Did not have my best game but enjoyed the round and will be back to have another go at it at some point.

After I finally finished the course and clarified with the front office if the man in the group ahead of me indeed was the course manager, the receptionist and other staff confirmed the information. I told them about the inappropriate and disappointing interaction between myself and the manager. They didn't apologize for the poor experience I had or try to make the matter right. They just listened to my complaint without any response. They did not seem even slightly interested in treating their customers well or treating them with any courtesy or respect.

I will not return to this establishment and I would absolutelg not recommend this place to any golfers.

Good condition green

Very hilly course. Be prepared to lose balls as they don’t end up where you try to place them.

Very slow play ruins the experience. 18 holes should never exceed 4 hours.

For the price it was worth a play. I probably won’t play here much or ever again.

This course is not in the greatest condition but I knew that. Thought it would be a nice round qith my son back from college. Was I mistaken. Pace of play was terrible. We made a comment to the marshal who we saw on the third hole. He talked to the group but did absolutely nothing. He also didnt come back to us for an update. Also, he never was seen again.

I had not played here in over a year since they have received so much play that tee times are packed

We quit after 8 holes which had taken 2 hours and 15 minutes to play. We would have had at min a 2.5 hour nine holes and more then likely it would have been 2:45 hours. Ridiculous! Pace of 5.5 hour round but the worthless marshal either didn't care (as long as he got his free golf) or that is the standard at Sugar Hill.

Sugar hill could give me free golf for a year and I wouldn't come back.

Just need to find a good dentist for a more enjoyable root canal.
