About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Mountains
Extremely hilly. Hard course to play with so many forced carries over gullies and water. Undulating fairways unduly penalize off target shots. Questionable cart path only holes.

Great Layout
Beautiful course in fall with leaves changing, every hole is different, hilly but walkable. Course is in good shape, but some tees are pretty worn out. Paid fair price.

Challenging course not to be overpowered
Played half of the course for the first time today. The course is hilly and is in great condition. Shot placement is definitely a premium. Friendly and helpful staff. Pace of play is excellent.

Nice place, except...
There was some older lady running the bar and she was an utter nightmare. just the worst. super rude and condescending to me and the other guy i was playing with. i love this course and will definitely come back but if she's in there i wont be going back inside. id rather be hungry and talk to the cart girl, who is such a sweetheart.
