About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Nice place, except...
There was some older lady running the bar and she was an utter nightmare. just the worst. super rude and condescending to me and the other guy i was playing with. i love this course and will definitely come back but if she's in there i wont be going back inside. id rather be hungry and talk to the cart girl, who is such a sweetheart.

Great course
We read all the bad reviews about the course and the peopl, but decided to play there anyway.
We had low expectations.
But the course was great and people were delightful.
In fact, course condition was great and what a challenging layout……..just beautiful.
People could not have been nicer too.
If I wanted to be critical, I would say the golf carts need replacing……seat covers ripped.
Other than that, a great place to play.

Worst Golf Experience Ever- Don’t Play Here!
We will never go back here again. They don’t let you pick up clubs at your car. They stack the T-Times next to each and the play is very slow. The fairways are a mess and have hazards throughout the course. Greens are bumpy and slow. Some cart paths are dangerous to go on. There was construction on hole 9.. Everyone we met that worked there had really bad attitudes including the Head teaching pro, who yelled at people on the course and the driving range. We will never go back to this rat trap golf course again!

Poor Green Conditions
What's happening ....as all the Greens had lined weed growth that affects putting?
