About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Nice Round
Nice course to play. The Front 9 had some interesting holes where you definitely had to use every club in your bag. The Back 9 was more open where Driver was in play but the elevation changes made you carry additional club length on your shots. My only issue I had with the course itself were that the Bunkers were unplayable on most of the holes. If they add some new sand the course would definitely move into my top 5 in the area.
Overall a pretty good track to play!

Enjoyed the layout, conditions and pace of play. First time playing and staff somewhat different than other courses, but not horrible. I will be back.

Course in great shape this time of year
A very challenging mountain style layout makes for fun test of golf. Midsummer and the tee's fairways are in good condition, very green. Greens roll true, but tend to the slow side. Sand traps are always unkempt and unraked, an eye sore at best, and score robber at worst.

Great value for the challenge
Great round of golf. Cannot wait until the greens get better. Always difficult when recently punched and sanded. Course management is key when playing here.

Great course!
I’ve played here before, but I wasn’t as into golf as I am now. And might I say what I great course. Greens were well maintained. Great pace of play. Great flow. Views are great on some holes. We didn’t have anyone waiting or weren’t waiting on anyone. Smooth day.

I love this place ! Shot 74 Sunday playing a mix of white and blue tees .2 over after 5 ..Great par 5s .All can be reached in 2 if you're willing to try .Alot of fun bombing driver with wide open Fairways and extreme elevation changes .

Fair
Fix your cart paths. My spine can't handle the bone jarring rides. Lady who runs the bar must own the place, never seen a more miserable person in a customer service position who was allowed to stay there for very long. If I was the owner, she'd be unemployed.

Hot Muggy Day
Tee time was 8:30 am although the started moved people around resulting in delaying my starting time. I got the impression preferential treatment was given to friends.
Overall, good round and paired up with good group of guys with similar skill levels. Very cordial group.
Greens recovering nicely from aeration and sanding. Still not perfect but good.
Lost a divot tool with marker Miami Hurricanes... hope it gets turned in. Would like to get it back because it does have some sentimental value.
