About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Sunny November Day
Pace of play on front nine was unfortunate. Course needs to do much better at tee time management. It was better on back nine simply because many finished and left. There is no excuse for slow pace on any golf course if management is properly regulating tee times. Sugarhill was not today. .

Course conditions are much improved since I last played. It about 6 months ago.
Bunkers had sand instead of 3’ tall weeds and the greens were as good as I have ever seen them at this course

Big fan
Never played here because I assumed it was a dumpy bargain course. I was very impressed. The fairways are soft and take nice divots, not rock hard ground. Green speed is a little inconsistent hole to hole, but they are very pure. Clubhouse is standard stuff, driving range mats are the only eye sore on the course.

What a course!
Loved this course. Probably right up there as my my favourite course after moving here from Ireland. Greens were in great condition. Not a long course but challenging all the same.

Great day on a Good course
Course was in great condition tee to green. Fairways Nice, Greens fast and in great shape. Seemed a little slow to me. Waited on every hole, we got to meet the nice people in front of us on every tee box. There was a marshal, just not sure what he was doing. It was a topographical adventure, again course was in great shape. They could probably use new matts on the driving range

Better than expected
Had a low expectations due to previous reviews. Green was in good condition. Course layout was fun. There were lot of cart path fixing but that’s to improve so I am not going to complain about that. Overall I thought it was good
