About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Great Day
Course in great condition. Greens were very nice & rolled true. Tees could be better but getting a lot of play these days.
Always. a nice round of golf here!
This course is a goat path.
The tee boxes and Greens are in terrible condition. The golf carts are gas powered and the one we used had very bad brakes, which is not good for the mountains you have to climb. If we had not joined with a player who knew the course, we would have been lost several times as it it not marked well. For the most part, we did not enjoy our round at all and will never return.

Get A New Starter
This course is great for beginners since its is so cheap. Greens needed some work but were usable. Someone must have peed in the starters cheerios the day we played. Total Grump!!! You park and see carts in the parking lot, but then he says you can’t take the cart to load your clubs from the car. Makes no sense, change your policy like other much nicer courses in the area. I go here because it’s close and dirt cheap, but I would much rather play Reunion or Chicopee Woods. Much nicer staff at those courses.

Not rained out
Rain previous eve but course is so hilly it drained well. I wish there would be a group to invest in the course as the layout is fun but things like bunkers and some rough areas that are questionable at best. Always will support “THE HILL” .

Course is in great shape. Green is a bit slow, but it wasn't bad at all. Layout is great and somewhat challenging. My son and my son-in-law who are a beginner golfers probably thought the course was overwhelming and yet they enjoyed the round.

OK if you live near
If you’re a casual weekend golfer on a budget and live Within a 30 minute drive then this could be a good course for you. The layout of the course is pretty good and the fairways are in pretty good shape. But but be prepared for gravel filled bunkers and flag sticks that don’t come out.

Need a little TLC
Bunkers has no sand in it. The rough is out of control, i. Some areas the grass is knee high. I would ONLY play this course because of hot deal because its a good value. 20 bucks is a good deal.

Fun at Sugar Hill
The round was played under threat of rain, so few golfers were there. Catch path only due to recent rain but had a great time.
