About
Nestled in the foothills of the north Georgia mountains, Sugar Hill Golf Club tumbles across elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. The course is artfully laid across the rolling hills, weaving through stands of mature trees, to provide it with the maximum level of challenge and the best views. The natural contours played a role in determining the placement of the bunkers around the greens and fairways as well as shaping the sharp doglegs. As if the golf course didn't already have enough challenges, there are also deep grass canyons and water hazards to contend with. The par-4 fifth and the par-3 12th are memorable water holes, both featuring large lakes that lurk in front of the greens. Sugar Hill G.C. is known as one of the toughest golf courses in the area.

Infrastructure needs upgrade
The Cart Paths are pretty rough.
The sand traps had a lot of rocks, some fairly good size in them.
Exceptional Course and a Great Value
$35 for a great round of golf is unheard of. Beautiful scenic layout nestled in the hills of GA. Not a lot of “frills” like a fancy club house and restaurant (what they have is fine). I will play this again! Tough challenge for any level of golfer.
Great course
I have not been playing long and it was busy, so I didn’t care for that. Being new to golf and still learning I play pretty slow and hate holding up others, so it’s tough to find a good place that’s not a little busy. I think once I’m more experienced I’ll get to like this course a lot.

Will stick to early Tee times. Too slow for me, packed it in after 9.I do like the golf course. Kudos to the staff.

Finally played this course is good condition the best shape I’ve seen it greens are usually bad here. Need a little more done to the greens to make them better but pretty decent and fairways were good.
The hills are alive
First time playing here. Excellent value. Not long but challenging. Truly enjoyed my round. Greens were good just a little sandy in spots.

Course is in really great shape right now! Greens were really nice! The had a par 5 that was cart path only for a while but it’s been opened up which is great! Staff was very friendly! Honestly my favorite course right now for the price. I will definitely be back.
