Friendly, down to earth staff
I always love playing the Pine. I've met some cool folks out there who like to chill out, play some good golf and enjoy some friendly competition. The owners and staff treat you like regular folks, and the hot dogs at the turn hit the spot! One of the buddies I was playing with actually ate 5 hot dogs fully loaded. Atta boy Carden!
Absolute Gem
Awesome people in the shop, very easy course. The fairways are just hardpan and weeds, but the greens are actually pretty ok for the money. Pretty smooth but also really slow. A fun course to play if you want an easy great round (I did not get one lol). Great value for the money and a perfect place for people of any skill level. I am scratch and my brother is an 18 and we both played to great pace and had without losing many balls.
Needs TLC
In spite of lots of rain the last few months, the course was in the poorest shape I've seen it in 3 years. The fairways were hard and worn, lots of tee boxes were grassless and hard as a tabletop, and many of the greens had numerous former cup locations all over the place. In fairness, a lot of people are on the course these days, and for the money, it's about what you'd expect. A good dose of TLC would go a long way.
It’s cheap.
“We don’t play here because it’s a good course. We play here because it’s cheap. Lol
Not much is invested in maintenance but the people are nice and it’s affordable.
Worth the $25
Good value for a par 70 something. Greens are slower than any course I’ve ever played
Played March 2021
Very much enjoyed playing the course. The greens were in good shape as well as the fairways. Some folks didn't play 'ready golf' so it was slow and had to wait unusually long to tee off at every hole.
