Good day with family
Played a round with family visiting for the weekend. Busy Saturday on the course as is with all courses on Saturdays. Course was dry, greens slow (but consistently so). All in all, enjoyed the day at Pine Hills.
Not for players-fine for beginners
If you don't mind playing from unmowed pasture grass, old grass clippings, weeds and washed out eroded areas this course is for you. The greens are more like the fairways I usually play. Slow doesn't even begin to describe the green speeds. You'd be better off spending time on the range. I'll not be back.
Always fun
Pine Hills is the course I play the most, because it's a great deal and a good course to practice on. Not a lot of challenges, and only a few holes guarded on the right side, so you can really open up and swing.
The course is greening up from the winter, but some of the fairways and greens could use some extra work. Not terrible condition for this time of the year.
Great Course for the money!!!
I have played this course for 20+ years. I have always loved this course. Over the past couple years the owners have been putting money back into the up keep. It is really improving a great deal. The people that run this course are the best. Very kind and considerate. I will continue to play this course, with hopes of seeing this place become a 4 star course. If you have never played here, you are definitely missing out on a Diamond in the rough......no pun intended.
Love this course !!
Every time we play anywhere when we travel we always say Pine Hills is better.
The greens are beautiful and challenging plus the scenic fairways are fantastic for an afternoon of golf.
We play as often as we can !!

course conditions
Greens were decent but speeds varied greatly. Fairways were below average, like playing off bare ground in places.
If you are a regular golfer play anywhere else
This course needs more one stars to bring down the overall rating. Tee boxes are sand boxes, fairways are a little bit better but not by much, more crab grass then I've ever seen, no starter so there's no time management on the corse very slow pace of play, course is on top of other holes so there's a lot of cross hitting fairways on blind shots. If you've never played golf before this is better than hitting balls in your back yard but if you've played before you will regret not going to the driving range at a better course instead. This is my second try at this course I played over a year ago and thought I would give it a second chance......I will not be giving it another chance.
pine Hills review
The staff is extremely friendly ,helpful and knowelgable. The course was in good shape for this time of the year. I fully recommend this course for play.
Guys day out
Played with grandson and son in laws, head a great time, fun course not real difficult
First time in years
I haven't played here in several years but was pleasantly surprised. The fairways were thin and hard, you got plenty of roll out of them. The greens were in great shape. Only one seemed to be distressed a little. A little on the slow side and small. I will play again.
Too many golfers
This is my third time and last time playing here. Nice people at check in, nice marshall, but literally far too many golfers with no real set starting times. The result is 3 hours for 9 holes. Twice I have left at the end of 9 as the back up at the 10th tee was unbelievable. This could be a fun experience but until they develop a discipline for starting times and moving along slow players it is a very painful golf experience.
must better
this place has gotten so much better than years past, in fact the greens were the best I have ever seen them, even better then the clubs nearby. played 18 in less than 3 hours.
Great Day
I've played this course several times over the past year. The staff has always been great and the couple running it now are fantastic. The course isn't pebble or Oakmont; it's a local course to play and have fun. You will find some bare lies in the fairways, and the greens aren't perfect, but I will say this: If you are a good golfer you can overcome the few problems and really enjoy a fun outing. Kenny Perry may not enjoy it, but john perry does. Highly recommend it for the golfer that enjoys the sport, good fun and great staff!
Pine Hills
We were in drought situation when I played. So I am not gonna bash the course. Staff is very friendly. Will play here again.
Disappointing Outing
Course was average at best and we received a discounted rate via GolfNow however when we arrived at the course it was not honored (paid $30 instead of $26 + GolfNow Fees). Would not recommend.
Great bang for your buck
Great course if your not trying to spend over 30 for a round.
Great value for the Money
Played with my Dad and two sons. Had a very relaxing fun round. A few greens had "green bunkers" but most were in excellent shape. Fairways were good except for a few spots. All tee boxes were hard to put tee in ground.
Nice course to practice on for the more difficult courses in the area.
My first time here was with a friend who had been here many times and was able to show me some good points about it. It's a friendly little course with few difficult fairways and lanes. I will return here from time to time.
