Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Need better greens
Green in poor condition . Nothing like the practice greens. Dry bumpy and full of sand. Slow slow slow.
Wow
What a nice gem of a course.
Great Day
Good course, great condition and friendly staff with great facilities. Post round food in the clubhouse was excellent
Nice Course - Great Value
Nice course at a great price. Bunkers were very hard and could use some softening on some holes. There are a lot of bridges and water before the greens to keep it challenging and make you appreciate those nice approach shots.
Well Conditioned Course, Great Value
Nice layout and functional clubhouse with pro shop, grill, locker rooms, and banquet facilities. Large practice facilities with mats and natural grass. Well groomed greens of medium speed. Tightly cut fairways. Moderate rough. Sand traps are the week spot ranging from hard clay-like bunkers to rather sticky brown sand. Yardage from 6000-6600 yards. Good pace of play-wrapped up in 4 hrs. 20 mins. on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon. Great rate-$49.00 directly with the course.
This course is VERY interesting
The course is in good condition with a lot of variation but not for a beginner. Pace of play was good. The staff was very professional. Can't wait to play there again.
Nice track, sand was a little hard.
Nice track.sand needs attention, very hard, and some places very sparse.
The Bridges
The name tells you there is a lot of water but mostly on the front nine. Greens rolled nicely. Fairways in great shape but a little narrow in the front and opens up on the back. Bunkers need improvement. Starter was the only friendly staff person.
Nice layout
Nice layout. Greens are sloped so don't miss on the wrong side of the hole. Bunkers were hard, need more sand.
Bunkers and greens
The greens are in very rough shape some of the bunkers are being worked on and have wood poles and no sand in them. The tea boxes were also very beat up not the best experience this time around
AAAA++++++
Great conditions. In beautiful shape.
Poplar Creek
Course plays well. Greens are slow but at least we can play at this time of year. At this price in chicago area it was a steal
extra day in december
Wonderful day when you can play in December. The only thing was they closed a couple of greens and didn't tell us. But staff was great and very friendly , pace was good . Will come back!
Beautiful course
Picked a perfect day and got paired with a very nice couple. Course condition was very good, they just opened the 10th green. They have some carries over water that are tough for most women and beginners. Overall a very nice experience. We'll go back
Nice course
The course was in good condition except for two of the greens (10 & 1). The course is challanging but fair.
Thank you mike630428,
We appreciate your feedback and we hope you had a good experience at the Bridges! We are currently addressing the 1st & 10th greens, with a plan for them to be in great condition by early October. We hope to see you again soon!

Holiday golf
Normally a round of golf on a holiday can be slow but we were 3 min over pace according to GPS. Paired with 2 guys of equal skills as ours and ready golf was the rules. Will play there again if have the chance.

Great layout and scenery.
I have played this course several times and love having it my rotation of regular courses. I enjoy the variety of hole lengths challenging you to choose driver or irons off the tee. I was disappointed in the condition of the 1st and 10th hole greens which were very poor and directly affected my score. Hopefully theses are fixed but I would still return and recommend it to someone who has not played there.
terrynelson0404,

Thanks,
BPCCC Staff!

MANY BRIDGES
I would paly this course again under dryer conditions, the fairways were soaked from all the rain we have been blessed with, considering this, the course was in a good condition.
RBSC,
Thank you for playing at the Bridges of Poplar Creek! It has been a very diverse weather year for golf! One of the main focuses of our renovation in 2011 was drainage, so we are glad you found the course to be in good condition after heavy rainfall. We look forward to seeing you again soon!

Its called aerating. Thats how they make the greens better. Sorry you caught it at a bad time but currently these greens are in perfect shape.
