Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club
About
Formerly known as Poplar Creek Country Club, the club was transformed into the Bridges of Poplar Creek Country Club in 2011. Besides just the name change, the design itself was dramatically reinvented. Fifteen holes were completely redesigned but the golf course's most memorable holes were left untouched. Bunkers and fairways were reconfigured and fescue was planted to provide more depth and definition. To make the course even more challenging, new lakes were also added. The golf course is definitely a shot maker's layout that rewards accuracy and thoughtful strategizing. The final three holes are considered by many locals to be the toughest finishing trio in all of Illinois. It begins with an uphill par 4, followed by the longest par-3 and par-4 holes respectively. The Bridges of Poplar Creek C.C. offers a round that will challenge even the most avid golfers.

Fun Track
Fun course, challenging holes and has a beautiful layout with quite a few holes. Highly recommended.
Nice Pro Shop experience
Pro shop staff was on point!
The bar / halfway window just ok.
Not bad / but nothing to get excited about!
Always Fun!
I've played this course many times and always have fun. It has several risk/reward holes that are challenging. The greens are in great shape and the course is well managed.
Slow
Decent course but each of the 4 times iv played there over the last 5 years there has been a backlog at the tee and long rounds. I wouldn't pay full price to play just if there is a good deal on GolfNow.
Sunday afternoon
The staff made a good effort to keep the pace of play timely with some poor players on the course.
Nice, links style layout
It's a decent course but I fear it will lose business because of the windy conditions, which is almost standard there. Not sure a beginner would want to play there and get discouraged, lose balls, etc
Not impressed
Well we show to the course to find out that we wouldn't be able to play the whole course instead we had to play half of the course twice so disappointed that they kinda forgot to mention this when booking otherwise I would of choose a different place to play
No Way
Are you kidding me...I was playing on a course 20 miles from Chicago on February 21st.!!!! How could I be critical? Golfing in Illinois duirng the month of February is unbelieveable. It was a great day!!! I even made two birdies along with 5 pars. It was worth every penny. This course has all new carts with GPS as well. It's worth the money. Nice staff at the course.
Winter goof
For mid -February it was great to get out on this very nice course and enjoy a round of golf with my son.
Great Condition and Layout
The course is well maintained and the layout is excellent. Since the remake, where the course went from Poplar Creek CC to Bridges of Poplar Creek, the course has been overhauled and refined. the water plays more aggressively than before, forcing lay-ups and strategic shot selection. This is made considerably easier with the in cart GPS and screens. Pace of play has never been an issue here for me. The practice ammennities are welcomed with chipping and putting greens, and real grass driving range. Food is standard, the hot dog is solid.

Solid course. Greens very nice. Many bunkers under construction, but that should improve soon. Not gonna be in anyone's top ten, but very nice and very playable.
Course is getting ready for winter
The greens and fairways have been plugged, sanded and seeded in anticipation for winter. While the course is normally in great shape and fun to play, in its present condition the price charged is too much. In addition, most of the sand traps have been dug up and are now ground under repair. Not sure why, but the pins were placed on the most difficult position on each green which made putting very difficult on plugged and sanded greens. Save you money and play on courses that are still in business.
Challenging layout
Course was in great shape. Greens rolling perfect except 10. That was the one exception in rough shape. Challenging couple holes. Good amount of water in the course. Interesting layout. Good value right now!
