One of two best public park cook county golf courses
Incredible, challenging course. Long course that is well maintained and a joy to play.
Should have been closed
The back nine were closed to the public today and the front nine greens were full of sand . You could not putt the ball without it bouncing around. The course should have been closed. It was a waste of time and money today. Other than this experience the course has been great.
Good course
Course was great, the pace was a little slow for an early morning tee time.
A Pleasant Experience at Highland Woods
I had a wonderful time at this course. The staff was super friendly and understanding. They wanted to make sure I was satisfied with my experience. The course is a nice layout. It provides the player plenty of room to blast long drives down wide fairways and big greens. My only complaint was that there was no beverage cart and no water jugs on the course. I know these are covid times, but it was a heat index of close to 100 degrees. Something to address. Other than that, I thank you Highland Woods!
Best staff in the county
Pro shop girls were welcoming and informative. I’ve brought many members from my club to this course and they’re always impressed. Hard to find a course where the starter and Marshall aren’t the absolute worst to deal with.
Great course
Beautiful course, driving range, very friendly accommodating staff, love this place!! My golf cart stopped running on the 12th hole and they sent someone out to switch it very quickly. Much appreciated!
Need to speed it up
There need to be a new shorter tee box for the ladies. We're held up by a 4 some of ladies playing 1 tee in front of the whites.
to crowdy
after 3 hours and 10 minutes i skiiped because we made only 11 holes
it is way to crowdy and this is not a first time
Waste o time and money
Ok
Decent course, hard enough - but, pace of play was abysmal. Took over 5 hours to get the 18 in. Terribly grouped 4 somes in front. You had carts just waiting and waiting on several holes.
Pace your tee times and get rangers out there to facilitate pace of play.
Long, Open Course
Highland is a long, open course which makes your 1st few hits down the fairway feel great. The course compensates for this by throwing a ton of sand traps on your way to the green. I myself had quite the beach day. Would definitely try this course again!

This is a very nice course with good practice facilities and the staff was friendly and helpful however the courses pace of play on this day was unbearable!!! Golfers where then jumping holes and causing even more SLOW play.
We left the course only after playing 14 holes that by the way took almost 3 1/2 hours to play… CRAZY!

Solid course
Not hard but a solid course. A good amount of sand. Greens in good condition. I’ll play this course again.

Beautiful course, fair layout, challenging greens
My first time playing and I was impressed with the layout and course conditions. The tees are fair, the greens are challenging, and it is maintained very well. I look forward to playing again
