Great condition for the money
Recently played at highland woods and had such a great experience that I returned 2 days later for a second round. The course was in great shape, the greens were rolling well and for the price the conditions and course layout was a great deal.
Will be back again often this summer !
Great Forest Preserve Course
This is a fun and challenging course. Staff is friendly. Was surprised at the course layout and elevation. Sand traps were a little inconsistent, but we shouldn’t be in them anyway😉 Will play again!

One porta john on the ENTIRE course? That's entirely unacceptable. Saw people sneaking off into the woods to relieve themselves.

Solid Track. Very long
Course is in very good condition and pace of play was on point. It is a bit of a beast due to the length, but the challenge is on point with guarded greens and nothing absurd. Staff was nice this time, have had a different experiences in the past. Anything under $60 is a good price and will challenge those who don’t hit long. Would absolutely play another at this rate.
Pace of play
The first nine holes were very slow due to a foursome two places ahead of my tee time. On starting the tenth hole, the pace was perfect afterwards due to one (Slow) player only playing 9 holes.

Haven’t played this course in about 30 years. Definitely coming back. Great layout, very wide fairways, big greens and great pace of play. Highly recommended
Great layout
Highland Woods has a great layout. I’ve always said they could make this into a great course by narrowing the fairways, and adding some more fairway bunkers. This course is very forgiving off the tee. The pace of play during the week is good, but I wouldn’t recommend it on the weekends unless you don’t mind five hour rounds.
