WINDY Day for sure - made course tougher
Nice time either way but was really windy...
Glad we got it in - looked like rain before we teed off..
Beautiful Fall Day
We had a great day playing golf at Highland Woods. Fairways, traps and greens were just OK. What I like most about Highland Woods is that you don't see houses. The course has a natural beauty rarely found in a public course. Late season golfers play fast for the enjoyment of the game. Hit the ball, take the putt and move along. Forget the score and enjoy the game and the woods.
Great shape
Green and very playable. Greens were medium speed and true. Fairways manicured.
Nice course
This is a nice public course, really busy with retirees so it plays really slow. Very walkable for folks that like to walk. Just don't plan on being under 4 1/2 hours though 'cause it ain't gonna happen. Very scenic and a lot of nature.

Nice County owned course, plays slow though. Lotsa old timers (myself included) but it's a good value.

The course was in good shape considering the lack of rain. Staff was friendly and polite. Pace of play exceeded expectations considering my previous rounds I've played there.
Five hour round
First time playing this course and based on reviews was attracted to the strong ratings on course conditions. Course is in great shape, staff was friendly and yet no one seemed to be too concerned about the pace of play. We waited on every shot and at the turn, we had 6 groups playing and waiting to play. They finally sent someone out on the course to see what the problem was after many of us came inside the pro shop complaining. Ridiculous
Good value - long course
The 6500 yard length from the white tees is much longer than other public courses in the area. This extra length (challenge) with greens in good shape makes this course a good value for the money
Course in near perfect condition
This time of year this course is in beautiful condition. The greens were quick and manicured. Love the layout.
Scammed
Paid online with cart fee included. Counter guy charged an extra $18 per golfer for carts and wouldn't deduct from what we already paid. Felt like a bait and switch.

Booked a tee time with cart fees included. Counter guy charged me and extra $18 per golfer in cart fees despite me already paying them. Wouldn't budge even though it was also raining and no one else.on the course. Liked the course itself but not worth the money if they're gonna charge extra once you get there. Won't be coming back.
