Highland Woods Golf Course

I don’t like prepaying for all the golfers in my group, that’s ridiculous. The air quality is terrible. because you get no breeze with all the tall trees. But The condition of the course was nice, but had no water on any of the holes or bathrooms.. my group thought the very same thing.

Great experience overall. It would be nice if they had one or two water quarters along the way. Yard Yards markers need to be more conspicuous

The course outside of the sand traps is fantastic, traps are in bad shape with either hard pan or water in the bottom. The fairways are in great shape and the track is very challenging. Lots of trees, several long holes, we played the whites at 6490 yards and it was a lot to handle walking.

Great Cook County Forest Preserve course.

Course gives you chances to recover.

Only issue is hornets nest in bunker at holes 2 & 4

We booked a tee time day in advance for 2 players. Called the shop and said that we are better golfers and asked if we are getting paired with someone for our tee time, then to pair us with younger or better players. We showed to the first tee 3 minutes before our tee time and starter said that he already sent 2 players 5 minutes ago and we need to catch up to that group and pair with them. We could see from the tee that it’s 2 older ladies. We politely asked if we could be paired with someone that would not slow us down and he refused. Said that they are good players. Well, those two players ended up being 2 older Asian ladies in their mid to late 60s that hit 3-4 shots before they could even get on a green on par 3. The pace of play sucked. Pro shop and starter needs to do a better job pairing players for sure. Otherwise, course was in decent shape. Greens were fast for a public course. I would give this place another shot, but hope to have a more pleasant experience next time.

Amazing how removed from urban world this is for couple minutes off the highway. Course was in great shape and played fairly easy but good challenge.

Could be the worst driving range mats ever but that was only downside.

I played the afternoon 3pm. played 18 easily, beautiful day. Course was in really good shape. I still think their prime time Fee is to high. They should have more GolfNow deals.

Only got thru 8 holes due to rainstorms unfortunately

This course has a nice layout, but it needs to be taken care of better. No water out on a very hot day. A lot of golfers on the course, and no rangers could be found anywhere. Water was still in the traps 2 days after storms, making them unplayable. This is a nice course with a great layout, but needs to be better taken care of.
