Love this course.
It was windy and wet fairway conditions, but we enjoyed playing. I recommend this course.
Great course. Bad site manager
Course is in great shape for a public forest preserve course thanks to the course management contractor. Only problem is the course management company's manager.
She is rude and sarcastic towards customers. When trying to confront her about.her maladjusted bad attitude, she gets even more confrontational about arguing that she is not...Isn't that being confrontational ?? This is not acceptable and her supervisor should be held accountable . Possibly remove both of them ??
Our 4 finished in 3 hours 50 minutes but felt rushed. There were 2 different 2 somes behind us. I wish the starter would combine them at number 1 just like he combined our 2 2 somes.
Enjoyed the cold day
Course was in great condition considering it is a county course. This was the first time playing Highland Woods course. The fairways were very generous which is helpful for the average golfer. I will definitely play again. A toast to the three gentlemen (Bruce, Doug and Bob), I had the pleasure of being paired with for the day.
Course in excellent condition. A lot of traps around greens
Good experience
Used to play this course before Covid but the pace was horrible. Now they have 10 minute spacing for tee times and that is a big improvement. Conditions were pretty good but greens were a little beat up. Overall not bad and the layout is great. Plays long but fairways are wide. We played on a Monday at a 4:20 pace.
Another Great Forest Preserve Course
I’m starting to think my local forest preserve course is the worst in the system 😆. Highland Woods was great. Super nice staff. Nicely maintained course. It was wet and rainy so the traps had puddles but not as bad as George Dunne a few weeks ago and I’m happy to say I avoided them all today. I had to run to a meeting after my round so I was happy to find out there was a deal on Calloway shirts too!! So buy them while you can.
Wet track
Golf course was crazy wet, even with the rain, sprinklers looked to be on normal which really drowned this golf course.
Great Local course that doesn’t break the bank
$35 for 18 after 3pm. Good price. Played here many times and I keep coming back. Never super busy, only time it is when the high school teams are out there. Usually after 4pm. They just aerated the greens so putting was a lil difficult. I wish the carts had gps. My only gripe. Also plenty of wildlife that’ll jump out from now where
