Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole course that is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Baer, and Players. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations that offer a variety of different challenges. The nines have unique designs but all the courses share an undulating terrain and well manicured tees, fairways, and greens. Due to the quality of the design and excellent conditions, the course has been host to numerous events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. The Tournament/Baer combination features plenty of water on the front nine, while the back nine is more forgiving but still dotted with strategically placed bunkers. Schaumburg is a popular course not only because of the design but also because of the country club setting at public-course prices.

Beautiful Fall Day! Schaumburg Golf Course Photo submitted by silver92z on 10/31/2012
Golfer Reviews
Great Course
I've been playing the course regularly for over 20 years. As a park district resident, the rates are fantastic. The course conditions are always top notch, as is the staff.
Love this course
Beautiful course and kept up very well. Love it the Rest!
Players course
The course is in great condition. For a Saturday it was not crowded and pace was on time. Chandler's Chop house has excellent food and bar with fast service.
I'll go again.
November golf in Chicago
Course was in good condition. Beautiful weather in November was a big plus for enjoying the round. The pace was a little slow but tolerable.
Very slow play
Took over a half hour to play the first two holes, so we knew we were in for a slow round. We notified the pro shop after five holes about the pace of play . Nothing was done. We notified a ranger on the course on the 10th hole . He shrugged our complaint off..... Still nothing was done. The group behind us quit after 12 holes because of their frustration. The round took over five hours and the course was only half full . The course was in good shape and the girl at the halfway house was very friendly. We should've played a different course.
A beautifully maintained course
This course never disappoints. The fairways are pristine, the greens quick and true. Plenty of water to keep you on your toes. By far, one of the nicest maintained course in the area.
Course in great shape
Other than some wet fairways the course looked and played beautifully.
Awesome Course
Definitely will play again
Good weekend for family
I took my kids to ride on cart,.
My wife, a beginner, had some difficulties because of water hazards, but we all enjoyed relaxed golfing on Sunday.
Great layout
Course in great shape, greens nice and fast.
Best public facility in the NW Suburbs
I've been playing this course since well before the redesign in 90 or 91 and it has consistently been an enjoyable experience. The course is always in superb condition and the pace of play is almost always well within an acceptable range. This year is no different. The course is once again immaculate and the staff is by far the best I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. If you don't have an enjoyable round at Schaumburg Golf Club it's probably a 'you' problem rather than a 'them' problem. And no, I'm not being paid to write such a glowing review - I just love the place and pretty much everyone who works there. Municipal golf at it's absolute best. Thank you Jon and staff!
rude rude rude arrogant staff
golfers are not prisoners ...staff under the impression they work at medinah... very aggorant and unfriendly

Great Layout, pace could be worked on
Very nice layout, 3 9 hole courses to chose from. Course is always in great shape whenever I have played. Usually pace is very good, but later in the day it can slow down some.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review! We're glad to hear that you enjoyed your round with us and we hope you'll visit us again soon!
SGC
Been playing this course for over 25 years. Great course and best staff ever!
Thank you so much for the excellent review! We appreciate your patronage and we look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
Beautiful Course, Rude Staff
Schaumburg Golf Club is a beautiful golf course that plays very well. The course is well maintained and has high-tech golf carts. My only complaint of the course was having an attendant say "We can't have you taking 9 strokes to get down to the green. We are very busy today." at our first whole. Nothing distracts your first shot more than being rushed. This was very inappropriate as the pair we played with maintained pace right behind the earlier tee time. I will likely return to this course with hopes of better staff.
We appreciate your feedback and we're sorry to hear that your experience with our staff was less than great. Our GM, Jon Parsons, would like to discuss your experience further. You can email him at joparsons@parkfun.com or by phone at 847-885-9000. Thank you and have a great day!

Great course layout and conditions
The course was in great shape the afternoon after a storm. The ranger did a great job of letting us know how groups ahead of us were moving. One of my favorite public courses.
We really appreciate the great review! Hearing positive feedback from our golfers makes it all worth it! Please come and visit us again soon!
Excellent Condition
The "Players " course was in excellent condition. The greens the fairway the first and second cuts were in very good condition. Even though there were some maintenance people on the course they did not interfere with us at any time. Would definitely recommend course to friends.
We really appreciate the feedback, Jim! We're thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your time with us and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
