Schaumburg Golf Club - Tournament/Baer Course
About
Schaumburg Golf Club is a 27-hole course that is divided into three nines: the Tournament, Baer, and Players. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations that offer a variety of different challenges. The nines have unique designs but all the courses share an undulating terrain and well manicured tees, fairways, and greens. Due to the quality of the design and excellent conditions, the course has been host to numerous events over the years including the U.S. Open Qualifying and Illinois Open Qualifying tournaments. The Tournament/Baer combination features plenty of water on the front nine, while the back nine is more forgiving but still dotted with strategically placed bunkers. Schaumburg is a popular course not only because of the design but also because of the country club setting at public-course prices.

Great Course Anytime of the Year
I thought the course was very well kept considering the time of the year. And the pace was good. I found the 11th hole over the water especially challenging, but the layout and every aspect of Schaumburg Golf Course makes it probably the best in the area of public courses. I had nice time playing it.
Schaumburg
Course in great condition. Closed 11/17. Will be back next season!
Wonderful conditions
Great day, course was in GREAT shape, considering it was Nov 7th. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens were in good condition - would be nice if other golfers fixed their ball marks. Staff very friendly.
Great
Love this course, well maintained, not too pricey, good pace of play generally and the restaurant bar is great
FUN and fair
Well maintained. Greens were very FAST!
Staff was very accommodating.
Great course; Questionable call from starter
Bottom line. Schaumburg is a very solid course from tee to green. Course is on the expensive side, we paid $ 104 for 9 holes and a cart.
On the first tee, 3 kids (16-19 )ahead of us. Somewhat new to the game. 2 carts and 2 bags, they were going to share 1 bag on one of the carts.
Starter made them go back and rent another set. Maybe course policy, but certainly appeared to be a $$$ and power play move on the starters part.
If you’re kind of new to the game, this may not be your best place to play. Ask the starter!
