Annbriar Golf Course

Played this wonderful course yesterday with my family and a friend of ours... it's always an enjoyable day out! The course and greens are in great condition... the entire staff are professional and friendly, which sets Annbriar GC apart from the rest in the area. We got rained out on the back nine, so we went into the clubhouse dining area for a beverage... the amiable owner, William Nobbe, stopped by our table for a friendly visit and conversation to cap off a fantastic day. Thanks Annbriar for a wonderful round of golf and weekend experience!

This is by far the best public course in the area, I have to give it a five out of five stars. The only suggestion I would have is that they add water coolers on the course. It is hard to believe the condition of this course, the fairways and greens are immaculate. It was even hard to find a divet in the fairways. Your superintendence do a fantastic job.

Excellent public course one of the best I’ve played

For the golf course design you get and the conditions, the greens fee of $70 on a Saturday morning is one of the best values in metro St. Louis.

The condition of the course was good, with the greens being perfect, rolling true. They are not overly fast though. With all the rain the St. Louis area has had over the last week, apparently Annbrair has not received much. The rough areas were a little brown. The rough was not overly high and it is very dense. Place of play was very good.

They do not have enough help in their restaurant. We sat at our table and was never acknowledged or waited on.

Annbrair is the only course I play that still uses the small flag on the flagstick, to indicate front, middle or back. I would suggest they move to what all the other courses are doing. Red flags front, white middle, blue back.

Hole 13 has the overhanging branches on the left side, on your approach shot. I was glad to see the pin was not on the left side of the green.

Don't get me wrong. This is a nice course but like most of the nicer courses, since COVID they have hiked prices because they are trying to capitalize on the influx of golfers. How about leaving prices so the average Joe doesn't feel like they have to choose whether or not to play or feed their kids. LOL I mean with a full tee sheet I get it but 70.00 is a little much and if it were 50.00 they would still feel the tee sheet and have happier customers that would probably spend it at the 19th or for future outings. Just because you can doesn't mean you should

The only problem i had was most of the flags were red in color. Did not matter if pin was in the front or rear of the green.

Pace is off play is awful, no rangers around to help move people along.

The course is in great condition. All the staff was super friendly and helpful. The Teebox and greens were immaculate. We were paired up with another twosome and they had just as much fun as we did. Definitely would recommend to put it on anyone’s list for public courses in the St. Louis area

Lunch in the clubhouse was very good, server/bartender provided great service. Check in at pro shop was fast, course was in SPECTACULAR condition! Thanks to all of the Annbriar staff for making this a memorable day!

Best course in the St. Louis region. The course is coming along nicely and will likely turn into 5 star conditions soon. A couple of the greens had what looked like poa and were slightly bumpy but still better than everything I’ve played this year. My only real complaint about the round is the pace was a little slow. 6:57am on Sunday morning should be faster than 4.5 hours.

Would recommend the course getting a marshal for the weekends.
