About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Great Course
Probably the best course in Southern Illinois! In phenomenal shape, best fairways I have seen this year. Layout is great, can’t wait to come back. Only drawback, and it’s not their fault per se, are the amount of unrepaired ball marks! C’mon people! It’s common practice, this is not your muni dumpy course, take care of your messes!

Great Course
First time playing here. The reviews do not lie. This place is great! Great Greens, Fairways, Tee Boxes. Was a little crowded but I imagine it was because it was a beautiful day and such a nice course. Definitely recommend

Great First Impression
This is the first time I’ve played this course after it was recommended to me. I was not disappointed. The course was in great condition. This year’s weather has probably helped that. Some holes were challenging while others were forgiving. I will be back.

Annbriar summer 2019
Annbriar continues to be the best public golf course around Saint Louis by a long shot. Tee boxes and fairways are immaculate. If you haven't played here you are missing out. Please do yourself a favor and go play this gem!!!

Awesome
The scenery alone is worth the price, the fairways (a must hit) are in great shape. The pro shop and F&B staff along with the starters are all very pleasant and seem happy to be there. Only thing I noticed is it looks like people still aren’t understanding that they should fix their ball marks, this is solely on the players who play here not the grounds crew, come on people keep the greens nice and fix your marks.

Phenomenal Shape
I've been playing Annbriar since it opened and I have never seen it in better condition. It is the best layout in the St. Louis Metro area and it is phenomenal shape.
All the bunkers were raked and they were even raking the edges of the bunkers with leaf rakes while we were playing. You never see this on a public golf course.
All the poa annua grass on the greens is gone from several months ago.
Play Annbriar now and treat yourself to a wonderful golfing experience.

Best Public Course in St Louis
The course is in fantastic shape from tee to green. In my opinion the best public course in STL.

Our tee time was 7:36 am and it was already about 10-15 minutes behind. There was a foursome 2 groups ahead of us that was extremely slow making our round over 5 hours. I do not believe anyone was marshaling the course but they never approached this group. Course is always awesome and usually fairly good pace. a 5 hours round may not be too bad if carts were on the paths but you could drive anywhere.

One of the best courses I've played!
Annbriar was a course on my "bucket list" and now that I've played it, I want to play it again. Too bad it's 2 hours away from my home.
We played the blue tees which were a good yardage for single digit handicappers who still want to have an enjoyable round. The zoysia fairways are wide and plush. The greens are of a good size and speed, with slight undulation (nothing radical). The employees we talked to were friendly and knowledgeable.
You won't be disappointed.
