Annbriar Golf Course

The course is in fantastic shape from tee to green. In my opinion the best public course in STL.

Our tee time was 7:36 am and it was already about 10-15 minutes behind. There was a foursome 2 groups ahead of us that was extremely slow making our round over 5 hours. I do not believe anyone was marshaling the course but they never approached this group. Course is always awesome and usually fairly good pace. a 5 hours round may not be too bad if carts were on the paths but you could drive anywhere.

Annbriar was a course on my "bucket list" and now that I've played it, I want to play it again. Too bad it's 2 hours away from my home.

We played the blue tees which were a good yardage for single digit handicappers who still want to have an enjoyable round. The zoysia fairways are wide and plush. The greens are of a good size and speed, with slight undulation (nothing radical). The employees we talked to were friendly and knowledgeable.

You won't be disappointed.

Great value for the money. Some holes have a strange layout, but overall a fun place to play.

First time playing here and very impressed. Staff were all very friendly. Enjoyed the layout, especially the back nine. Highly recommend.

There is nothing bad to say about Annbriar. They understand how to perfectly balance down-home country personal service with first-class golf layout and manicured conditions.

My only additional comment is a personal wish; that they would increase the speed of the greens. Don't get me wrong. Their greens are VERY putt-able. The ball rolls true and on-line. A little more speed would be welcome so we can enjoy the challenge of the contours and subtleties, though.

I'm guessing asking for faster greens is like asking for a different frame around the Mona Lisa. Annbriar is a spectacular and A++ public golf experience...period. Play it and treat yourself!

This is a visually beautiful course with not a bad hole on it. Conditioning is high end private club level. Front 9 is open and rolling and back 9 is beautiful and more hilly. If I'm going to "treat" myself to a higher end round of golf, this is where I'm going.

The weather prediction was for 90% chance of rain. Rescheduled for next month.

There are many reasons annbriar is one of our favorite courses. The wide open fairways, accurate distances, and above all course maintenance is superior. It’s always a privilege and a joy to play this course!

Annbriar is my favorite course in the St. Louis Metro area. What was disappointing to see were the greens being taken over by the poa annua grasses. Not sure what can be done about this, but, there is nothing better than the original bent grass greens. With poa annuu, your putts are slower, break less and your putt can move back and forth because of the graininess of this grass.

Still go play Annbriar - such a great course. Just be aware the greens are not like they used to be.

We played this course for the first time and loved the layout and challenge. But even thought it was very windy, the flying bugs were unbearable. And if you hit it into a bunker, it was like you were lunch.

We really like this course, but until they get a handle on the flying bugs, we wouldn't play it again. Bugs in your eyes, ears, nose and mouth make playing golf really unpleasant.
