About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Beautiful spring golf day
Great day, great price , excellent pace of play. Lush fairways, smooth tight greens. Can’t get much better than that.

One of my favorites, the course is beginning to dry out after all the rain, only drawback were the greens, too much poa annau, hopefully it will get resolved

Perfect for The Time of Year
This course is always in great shape, but it looks exceptional for this time of year. Cart path only, and it was pretty damp and soft on the fairways.
Greens have been aerated and sanded, yet they roll well.
It was a tough day for cart path and senior golfers.

1st time
Not sure what conditions are like at other courses in the area, but this was extremely wet and sloppy. It was cart path only and if you left the cart path you woukd have been stuck. It is a nice layout. I would like to try it a different day when everything is optimal. Staff was friendly.

The course was very sloppy due to the recent rain, greens still recovering from aeration, bunkers had piles sand that hadn’t been raked out, poanna in some of the greens. They will have things worked out as the weather warms up, most probably.

Want to come back
This is one of the top rated public courses in the area and I can see why. I played early in the season so everything was still brown, but could tell it was a beautiful course with lots of great holes, especially if you like a links layout.

Winter conditions
Luckily the weather was good. Cart path only because the course is still wet. Few players today so we finished in 4 hours.

One of my Favorites
Even with the recent rains and winter conditions the course played very well. The greens were in relatively excellent condition. You will be hard-pressed to find a better course in the St Louis area.
