About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Been a while since I’ve played a course this nice!
Keep your ball in the fairway & you can’t help but have a good round
Nice round with a good deal
I played Annbriar with a friend and a discount through online booking. While it was a week day, the price was right, there was little to no traffic and the day was hot but clear. We really enjoyed our round and the course is in excellent shape. We had fun, played as well as we could, and enjoyed the time. After we had a couple of beers in the bar and cooled off. Tha was the best part of the day - but it was really good to play a course that had challenge and was in excellent shape. The weekend full price of $72 per is too rich for my blood, but I will gladly play again during the week.
Beautiful course, great layout and wonderful scenery
OUTSTANDING
This course stacks up against even the better Clubs in StL..had a scramble last year here and many Members from a Club with a Top 5 course in region played. The feedback was great and when I walked in for brat at turn on this day, there were 10 of those Members who had made the 50 mi trek to play again since their Course had event and was closed. BIG COMPLIMENT!!
Great layoit
Annbriar is a terrific course with challenging holes but generous fairways for the high handicapper. Fairways and greens were in excellent condition but Bunkers were in poor shape. There had been a lot of rain recently.
Snack bar staff friendly and food very good and inexpensive. Good value for the money overall.

Still Perfect
Greens resembled pool table felt. Absolutely perfect. Everybody on the grounds crew - mowers, high school labor, super - took the time to say hi and thanked me for playing. Every one of them engaged asking what I liked and what could be better. THIS is a golf facility...for golfers.
Challenging and fun
Due to a hard rain overnight it was cart path only. Made for a lot of walking. Course has extensive mounding which makes going to and from the fairways a challenging walk. Course condition was great except fairways were a little shaggy. Could have been the rain. Greens were in excellent condition but a little on the slow side. Would go back again if I was in the area. Very well conditioned track.
5star course / 1star teesheet management
You can only be let down so many times before you throw in the towel, and that’s what happened at Annbriar this last sunday. I book teetimes with other people because I enjoy playing with other people, and weekends especially you should manage that tee sheet and ensure the morning flows smoothly. What Annbriar allows is “regulars” to tell the starters who they want to play with and then go off in less than 4somes... I drive 45 min for this and enough is enough. I rolled to Gateway National and had THE BEST TIME! Staff over there is extremely friendly and helpful, starters keep things moving, and it was worth the extra money.
Kind’ve sad to say I’m not going to Annbriar again, and they were in my top3 favorites..
