About
Cantigny Golf in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. It is also a great place for juniors with an academy and nine-hole youth links course. The holes are divided into the Lakeside, Hillside, and Woodside nines, names that connote the characteristics of the beautiful landscape. There are two meandering creeks as well as 12 lakes interspersed throughout the golf courses. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Lakeside/Hillside Course, as the name would imply, takes advantage of the many lakes and elevation changes. Mature hardwood trees frame the holes and more than 100,000 flowers provide a colorful accent. In addition to water hazards, there are also strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. All of the golf courses are enjoyable challenging without being overly difficult.

Purely magic
Magnificent golf course. Incredible property. Number one public golf course in the Chicagoland area hands down. What a gem, what a treat, what a beautiful golf course unmatched in the area. Wish prices were a bit more reasonable but worth every dime. Magical place.
All around amazing experience
Really enjoyed everything about my visit. To start, Cantigny has one of the better practice facilities around. Multiple putting and chipping greens, large range with grass to hit off of and several indoor bays as well. We played Lakeside and Woodside. Course layout and scenery was great. Good mix of distances so I used most of my clubs, dog legs both ways. Water and woods were in play most holes, so it was fairly challenging as well. Luckily, the cart GPS system shows you everything and was also a big plus. Fairways, greens, bunkers, and tee boxes were all in excellent shape. Page of play was decent for a beautiful Saturday. If i had any complaints, the greens were maybe a touch slow but that probably helped my game and sometimes the carts shut off if you got close to certain areas but that’s minor. I will definitely be back; it’s my new favorite course.
Beautiful
Truly a beautiful coarse., In incredible shape even during a drought in Illinois. 3 different 9's is also a bonus.

Placed spotters in a few areas where many people lose balls on their drives to keep pace of course going. Very classy
Excellent Course
The course is an excellent place to play golf.
My only issue was that although I had my Golf Now reservation confirmation number, the course had no record of my booking.
The carts and some management is poor
They gave me a "new" cart but it had no GPS unlike all the older carts which have it and are still being given out. They didn't tell me or offer me an older one. Without the GPS it was very difficult to play the course as yardage markers were very sparse and no 100/150/200 makers anywhere like on the cart paths and pin position was unknown. After my 9 holes, I went into discuss with the manager at check -in and he had many excuses: supply chain issues so the GPS for the new carts did not come in. He told me I could have walked if I didn't like the cart. I asked him point blank what he might do for me like a free cart next time I played and he said he would do nothing half laughing at me. I told him he was an ahole and he thanked me for that so I guess he agreed with me. I hope he is not representative of the rest of their staff and they get their act together as far as carts go and customer relations.
Great condition but overpriced?
I always enjoy Cantigny but usually walk away afterwards and think there are many courses for $30 or $40 less that I enjoy just as much. Always impeccably maintained. Excellent facility.
Top 10 IL public course
This is in the top half of IL top 10 public courses. For the price it’s not spectacular and unforgettable. But Chicago isn’t cheap so the price is justified.
The course is immaculate at all times, the grounds are great, practice facilities are the absolute best in the west burbs and the layout is pretty fun.
