About
Cantigny Golf in Wheaton offers 27 holes of championship golf. It is also a great place for juniors with an academy and nine-hole youth links course. The holes are divided into the Lakeside, Hillside, and Woodside nines, names that connote the characteristics of the beautiful landscape. There are two meandering creeks as well as 12 lakes interspersed throughout the golf courses. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Lakeside/Hillside Course, as the name would imply, takes advantage of the many lakes and elevation changes. Mature hardwood trees frame the holes and more than 100,000 flowers provide a colorful accent. In addition to water hazards, there are also strategically placed bunkers along the greensides. All of the golf courses are enjoyable challenging without being overly difficult.

Outstanding Course
Well worth it. Played Hillside and woodside. Woodside very challenging and longer. Hillside more friendly. Both were in excellent condition. Greens are quite fast but should slow down this summer. A rating.

Top Notch
Easily one of the state's best public courses. Manicured and pristine. Greens ran 10 and nothing flat. Bring your 'A' game if you can. Friendly staff.
Always a challenge to play.
Previous rounds always started the Lakeside course and the Hillside for the back 9. Today we started at the Woodside course which I have not played previously. Played with my son who’s playing Cantigny for the first time. Some surprises but it’s always fun when you are challenged to play your best. Enjoyed the round as usual and looking forward for the next one.

Course was in pristine condition. The greens and overall course was well kept. Course is not too long but still challenging and fun. Can’t wait to come back and play here’s again.

Wow!
My first time playing this course and was it worth the wait. I think they had their club championship before my round. If that wasn’t the case, the pin placements were in places that would make you think the superintendent was angry off or something. LOL The greens were hard and rolled beautifully. I would have to say it’s one of the best greens I’ve played on.
Great course but poor pace of play
Cantigny is one of the premier courses in the Chicago area and I was excited to play. The starter, Lynn, was very friendly. Unfortunately, a 4 hour 45 round took much away from the round and the golf experience. Waiting on every shot and waiting at each tee box disrupted the round. Never saw a ranger.
Beautiful course - pace of play - terrible
The course was beautiful And in fantastic condition, and the staff super friendly. It took us nearly 3 hrs for 9 holes - lots of standing around and waiting. We gave up playing after the 14th because it was getting dark and the mosquitos were starting to eat us ! . The staff did say they had held an event in the morning and that slowed things up. They didn’t want to hurry the event because they had paid a lot of money and they want them to come back next year. We got a good price for the golf off GolfNow so weren’t too upset about it - but if we had paid full price, we wouldn’t have been very happy. On a good note we would love to play this course again and maybe choose an earlier time of day if possible.
