About
Cantigny Golf boasts 27 holes of scenic and challenging golf. The holes are divided into three nines that are named after the features of the landscape: Lakeside, Hillside, and Woodside. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Hillside/Woodside course features plenty of elevation changes as well as an abundance of hardwoods, mature oaks, and ash trees. More than 100,000 flowers provide a colorful accent to the golf course. Strategically placed bunkers border the undulating greens and there are also a few water hazards coming into play. All three courses provide a challenging round but they are playable for a range of skill levels. It is an excellent place for tournaments. In the past it has been host to the US Amateur Public Links and numerous USGA qualifiers. It is also a good place for juniors with a golf academy and a nine-hole youth links golf course.

The course was in perfect condition with a very friendly staff. We played 36 for a fairly reasonable rate that included lunch. I haven't played Cog Hill but have played the General in Galena and this is just as scenic and challenging as the General, This is a memorable course
Making Chicken Salad out of Chicken ****.
Trying to get a round in under iffy weather conditions. Mon ster downpour after 6 holes. Called off course and the people at Cantigny could not hjave been nicer. Sheltered opur cart, offered a raincheck if we couldn't get basck out. Adfter 1/2 hour rain stopped , the sun came oput, and we had a tremendoius back nine. Kudos to the entire staff for making it a great day.

Cantigny
Excellent course. Country Club experience. This is one of the better golf courses in the Chicago area.
Awesome conditions!
Course was immaculate! Played on the 4th of July and we were on the back9 all alone! Greens are true and fairways are awesome!
Awesome Course Great shape
Cantigny is a wonderful course. Played Lakeside Woodside.. Usually wet but we played it the day after rain and it is draining well. Course renovations are underway but the greens and fairways are in great shape. If you can play it for $80 or less jump on it. $110 it a bit much even for this gem. Staff is super friendly.
Very rewarding experience
I love the course. Beautiful, very good paced, good weather. The course is well maintained and surrendered by the trees.

Excellent as Always
Just the best course/facilities in the area. Well manicured, fast & smooth greens - everything is literally 5 stars. Have been playing here for years and have over 100 rounds in the books.
The course was wonderfully maintained. The staff was friendly and outgoing. The pace was great. 4 players finished in 4:10. Challenging enough for intermediate golfers while not being too difficult for beginners.
My only issue is that it is expensive and there are 2/18 (11.1%) holes of the course that are heavily under construction. I think while that is going on, there should be an 11.1% discount.
We loved this course. Can’t wait to return. It’s a true championship course!
Course in terrific shape
Always a pleasure to play Cantigny. The course as usual was in great shape, the tees, fairways and greens all very well manicured, and the rough and natural areas are starting to turn to fall colors making it the course visually appealing. Service slow in the restaurant but the food was quite good, overall a great experience. Hard to go wrong with Cantigny.
Way too pricey
There are other courses that are better for the money. This place once again overcharges for everything.
Great course worth the price
Travelled to the area and played a handful of courses, this was by far the best. Great condition, greens fast & true and great service. If I ever travel back to the area I would play this course again.
Like a private club
If you want to experience the look and feel of a private club Cantigny is it. Well conditioned from the tees to the green. Putting greens smooth and slick with a true roll putting surface. Challenging throughout but fair. A gem of a course all 27 holes. Definitely a must play for a skill levels.
