About
Cantigny Golf boasts 27 holes of scenic and challenging golf. The holes are divided into three nines that are named after the features of the landscape: Lakeside, Hillside, and Woodside. The nines are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Hillside/Woodside course features plenty of elevation changes as well as an abundance of hardwoods, mature oaks, and ash trees. More than 100,000 flowers provide a colorful accent to the golf course. Strategically placed bunkers border the undulating greens and there are also a few water hazards coming into play. All three courses provide a challenging round but they are playable for a range of skill levels. It is an excellent place for tournaments. In the past it has been host to the US Amateur Public Links and numerous USGA qualifiers. It is also a good place for juniors with a golf academy and a nine-hole youth links golf course.

Great Facility
Course conditions, staff, and amenities were all top notch. My only suggestion would be improved GPS on the carts. You only get a number to the middle of the green, and being unfamiliar with the course, I would have benefited from the full screen display to be able to determine yardages to hazards / doglegs / etc... Regardless, it was still a great day of golf.
Not worth the money
Not sure if my expectations are too high. Club goes for a country club feel as so as you drive down the stretch of road heading to the clubhouse. As soon as you set foot on the course that country club feel immediately goes away. The amount paid for 18 at this course 120 per person (believe it or not was the hot deal price) is extremely high for the actual quality of experience. I expected a well kept course, like I assumed anyone spending 120 for 18 holes would. Some holes were decent. But others had greens that looked like they've been neglected for months, tons of ballmarks, diseased chewed up areas, and overall neglect. Huge divots in the fairways left unfilled. I really wish this course was maintained properly. Especially for the steep tee time price. This course has so much potential but I feel like its completely wasted. The driving range is also very underwhelming and tight.
Cantigny - A Great Walk in Wheaton IL
Schedule a caddy for your Golf experience at Cantigny to enjoy the golf experience. Why rush? Great golf afternoon with my sons. The fairways and greens need much more Cantigny love as they appeared pretty beat up yet the overall golf experience was very good.
Play Cantigny, It's Worth It
Two weeks in a row for me playing Cantigny. After last week I didn't think it could get much better but was I ever wrong. Coming off of the Club Championship, the course was in immaculate condition, and the greens were lightning fast. Cantigny is such a joy to play. We played Woodside to Lakeside again, but the course is amazing regardless of which nines you play. The property is full of wildlife and beautiful scenery it's a joy to be there even if you're not playing golf. I highly recommend that you play Cantigny, and not just once per year!
Cantigny Never Disappoints
We played Woodside to Lakeside, and our group consistently commented on how perfectly conditioned the course was, from tee to green. The staff was overwhelmingly accommodating and delightful in all respects. After playing right on 4 hours, we had lunch in the grill and the food exceeded all expectations. I’ve already booked my tee time for next weekend!
Always a good time!
This is the second year in a row that I visited Cantigny for my bday! Always a great overall experience. Amazing facility and friendly staff. Few things to note this time around. 1, the greens were a little beat up. People, repair your ball marks. Seriously. 2, there was very little to no sand in the base of the bunkers. Lost a few strokes there as my ball cruised past the hole 20-30 feet further than expected. 3 we saw two beverage carts the 1st hole, one a few after that, then nothing. We even requested with 5-6 holes to play and nothing. This has become standard issue with many courses where on a weekend after 4-5pm, no beverage carts. C'MON! It's the weekend. And my bday :)
One of my favorite
Excellent golf course to test your game fast greens but fair. If you spread the ball left and right this will be a very difficult course it demands to hit good shots it keeps you focus.
Great course layout
Great conditions, friendly staff, and awesome course layout! Great value as well $90 for hot deal and included some range balls.

Great time
Full tee sheet with a twenty five minute frost delay. Still managed to get in 18 in 4.5 hours. Greens were decent and staff was friendly. Challenging course. Loved it.
Course gave coupon for reduced rate golf. While appreciated, the coupon was for limited use until April 30th (2019). Not much golf is played in April ( weather) -in chicagoland. Hoping for warmer fall days & an early spring! Coupon should have been through May at least.
One of the Best Public Golf Courses in the US
Cantigny Golf lives up to its billing as one of the best public golf courses not only in Chicagoland but throughout the whole USA. Service excellence from the bag drop area, the pro shop and the starter area. Really enjoyed the game and the picture perfect sceneries along the fairways. Looking forward to my next round with friends.
