West/South at Arrowhead Golf Club
About
There are 27 holes of championship golf available at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton. The course spans over 220 beautifully wooded acres with not a home in sight. The holes are divided into three nines that can be played in different combinations. Throughout the entire golf course, water comes into play on 17 holes and there are 77 strategically placed bunkers. No matter what course you choose, you'll come across several challenges but they can all accommodate a wide range of skill levels. The West/South combination has several formidable water holes, including the seventh hole on the West, which is nearly an island green, and the South's par-3 fourth hole where you will have to carry a massive lake. In addition to the golf course, Arrowhead boasts a practice facility with a lighted range, putting and chipping greens and bunkers

Price
This is a great course but I never play it because it is over priced. You should be able to ride for about 50 bucks for 18 holes not 70-80.
Great course
Terrific course and a very friendly staff. Good was excellent in the club house and server was superior.
Top 5 public golf course in Chicagoland
Greens were extremely quick. My guess is they were running around 12 on the stimp. Bunkers were AMAZING, the sand was as pure as I've seen at any course public or private in Chicagoland. Great layout. Clubhouse is immaculate. 5 stars in my book.
Great Experience!!!!
Booked an early Monday morning round at a great rate on Golf Now. Course was in PERFECT shape. Lightning fast greens running true as a pool table. Fall colors starting to come in. Used the locker room to shower before heading off to work. I love this course and the facilities. One of Chicago's best
Why me?
Everything and everyone was great except the ranger. We waited for the groups in front most of the round. The one hole where the guys I was paired up with we're looking for their balls in the trees, the ranger decide to drive up to me only and say "you need to pick it up NOW, other people want to finish too". Those were the first and only words he said to me. It almost spoiled my round but Chris and Dave were super cool and even gave the ranger some beef about letting a twosome cut in front of us on the 16th. There were 2 to 3 groups on the tee boxes for the last 2 holes. Incompetent and inconsistent.
Great course
Very nicely manicured. A pleasure to play. Will be back
great public course
you really can't beat this for a public course, plays as well as some private courses. Staff very friendly and accommodating.
Awesome course
Arrowhead is one of the best public courses in the area. It's a bit pricey for non-Wheaton residents ($52 to walk during the week), but I love going there about 2-3 times a year. We got a can't-pass-up deal for 9 holes and it was an awesome day.
Great course, sensational conditions. Country-club like without the country club fees.
Nice Course
I have played here before and that is why I come back. Nice course and very well maintained. Today's round was very challenging due to the high winds!! The course is very challenging, add the windy conditions and you have an extremely difficult course! But I'll be back!!!
The only negative I have reflects the GPS on the carts. They seem to be "faulty". And I have experienced that in the past...HUM!!!
Beautiful course
Beautiful course. Club house is impressive. Grounds well maintained
nice course, good value and excellent food
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed this course. It was challenging but not unfair. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Pretty natural surroundings Food in the clubhouse was outstanding. Fried chicken dinner for $9.95 and $4 glass of wine on Sunday- can't beat it. I hope to go back soon.
Wheaton Wonderful
I have played the South nine before but the East nine was new to me. I played one of my worst rounds of golf in recent history and still came off the course enjoying myself. An awesome course but you'd better keep it in the short stuff if you want to avoid some tough lies.
Arrowhead- C rated
Staff needs to be more friendly and engaging. Tee boxes were in poor condition. Course fairways were excellent, under wet conditions. Greens were good
Excellent conditions and value
Arrowhead's 9-hole east course was in excellent condition with some very scenic holes. Staff was very friendly and well organized. We plan to return.
A Good Round for 9 holes
Spent an enjoyable afternoon with two of my sons with 9 holes of golf. The pace of play was very good, as we finished our 9 in a little over 2 hours. Didn't feel particularly rushed, but we moved along. The course was in good shape. A number of the holes feature water on one side or the other. There's also a number of fairway bunkers on other holes. We enjoyed the challenge and look forward to playing the other two 9 hole courses at Arrowhead.
Perfect Day
The weather was ideal and with the exception of one tee, the course was in excellent shape. Large, super fast greens made for challenging, but fair putting. Terrific scenery, beautiful clubhouse, and friendly staff made for a most enjoyable round of golf. Strongly recommended. Will definitely be back soon.
Beautiful
Friendly staff and great club house. Course was beautiful. Only disappointment was the 2 slow men that didn't let us play through.
Really well kept up this year
We got a hot deal for 9. Amazing price!
Coarse looked beautiful we all were saying. Pace was a little slow. You should try to send walkers behind riders and I didn't see any rangers monitoring.
Enjoyable round
The course was in great shape and the staff was very accomodating
