Paradise Valley Golf Course
About
Paradise Valley Golf Course was voted the top course in Solano County and it is considered one of the best values in the North Bay area. Mature oaks line the fairways and meandering creeks wander across the course, coming into play on nine holes. It is a good course for walkers but it is still quite a challenge from the back tees. Club selection and ball placement are equally important. Paradise Valley Golf Course's signature hole is the par-5 10th. It requires a trio of accurate shots beginning with a well placed tee shot just short of the lake that sets you up for the second shot. You will have to make it past a ravine and a massive oak tree in order to make it to the green, which is protected by both sand and grass bunkers.

Good course. A little dry.
Good course. A little dry. Needs watering. And fairways had brown spots.....
Exceptional value and maintenance
I thought this course was in dynamite condition. Fairways and greens were perfect. Pace of play was very smooth. Very little waiting and no one rushing us. I had a cart because of the golf now deal but it is a very easy course to walk. I would highly recommend this course to any level of golfer.
Nice Greens, some interesting holes
The golf course has a decent layout, and some cool holes. There are no elevation changes, and the course winds among houses so it is not my favorite design. There are some interesting features. There are two holes that have huge oaks in the middle of the fairway that you have to negotiate around or over. The 10th hole not your classic three shot par 5. There are plenty of sand traps filled with course, heavy sand. The greens are in great shape, and roll very true, if a tad slow. This place can get very windy in the afternoon!
As mentioned before, the course is flat and easily walkable. the pace of play was pretty good, at just about 4.5 hours. the rates are reasonable, and the restaurant is very good.
Great value, great condition
Visiting the bay area. Played several courses so far. P.V. has been the best value (thru golf now) and conditioned. Greens were moderately quick but true. Fairways mostly well conditioned. Played on a Friday, mid-day. Pace was somewhat slow for our 2-some, but most 4somes cannot play as fast as us. Marshall very friendly. Stopped to talk about the other muni ... Rancho Solano (which we haven't played) giving a compare/contrast with PV. Very helpful and good humoured. Liked the course ... pretty flat and somewhat open. Not as tough a test as Rancho Solano (apparently). Played Metropolitan Golf Links in Oakland today (for the same price) and PV was way better.
Paradise hidden in Fairfield
This course was a little cool in the morning, but when the sun came out it was perfect weather for my terrible game to begin. Greens smooth and fast. fairway well groomed.
Excellent course with fantastic greens!
Had a really great time. Course was in great condition and pace of play was excellent.
Beautiful course, not long and not short. Well maintained.
Condition of the course surprised me for a public course. Will come back to play again.
Nice Muni Course
Nice city owned course managed by Kemper. Greens in good shape. Fun layout. Would play it again.
One of the best courses in Solano County
Get out early for a quicker round. This course is one of my favorties and the staff is outstanding.
The course was is beautiful shape!
They could have watered less during our round. It caused me to compromise my swing and I had bad results. It was the only hole for which I blew up on!
Muni maintained like a private club.
My wife and I have played courses from California to Maine, and the two Fairfield courses are by far the two best maintained public courses that we have played. We try to play each at least once each time we visit the area. Both courses offer enough tee options to provide golfers of all skill levels both a challenge and fun experience. The staff at Paradise was friendly and efficient. The condition of the course was excellent, and it was evident that the City has provided adequate maintenance staff. Both courses are visually appealing and the architect made maximum effort to utilize the natural beauty of the area. Highly recommend!!!!
Enjoyable
Great value and fun time. Course is in good shape with hot weather
Good variety of hole layouts
This is a fun course to play. Each hole is a different challenge. It's a flat landscape unlike it's sister course. Give it a try.
Very long. If you like your drive book here.
The course was challanging as this was the first time iv played there. It was super windy which was not much fun but they said it was usually 10 to 15 mph not the 35 mph we had all day. It had some really long holes but overall I enjopyed the course. I a,m a recreational golf with a 24 handicap so factor that in to be fair. I would recommend this course.
Weekends are slow
Tee time at 7:36, delyaed 10 minutes. 5 hour round. Really no reason for it at that time. Well other than slow golfers that are not asked to speed up and improper spacing of tee times.
Great price great course, was windy but still fun, want my group to move here.
Nice course, always a good play, will be back. To short stop wasting my time then, thanks.
very nice fun course. Marshall needs to pay more attention for pace of play.
This course has a very nice layout with water coming into play in several holes.Fairways and green in good shape. Usually well maintained with nice even speed in all greens. Only complaint was pace of play. Almost 5 hr. round with 4 groups of 2somes in front. Marshall never kept pace up for any groups nor did he recommended groups becoming 4 somes
Worth the drive
We came from Walnut Creek. Got a great deal on GolfNow. My buddy and I are both 3's. The course was in great shape, the greens a bit spongy but rolled nicely. Overall we found the course to be tough but fair (tips are just over 7k) and would go back again.
The course is eye candy.
I was a men's club member from the opening until 2001. I have not played the course for the last 12 years. It has matured to one of the finest municipal courses in Northern Californis. I did miss the old oak tree that fronted the 10th hole. The operator could provide divit filler as there was some deep gouges in the fairways.
Excellent value
The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly
