Fairways need help, greens where in great shape.

The course is great. Rental clubs were Taylor Made. Greens were very fast!

My buddies and I have played this course for over 30 years. It was very nice for a long time, then went into a terrible downward spiral. Greens were bad, turf was bad, employees were bad... just not good. A couple years ago they started improving the course and it has gotten to a point where the course is in good to great condition for a public course. Some days the pace of play can lag, but on this day that we played, our foursome played in under 4 hours!

Oakmont is a great course for the value. The driving range is small with low flight balls. The course is not very long, but still makes golfers of all skill levels to make some shots. The greens are in great shape but are very undulating with maybe some unfair hole placements. Although the course winds through a neighborhood, it is pretty wide open. On a side note, they have forward tees that would be very kid friendly.

Oakmont West has the best drainage after a rain storm.

Patrick Bauer in the shop was awesome, got me out early, new carts which were clean, great pace of play , under 4 hours, greens were nice, fairly quick smooth, some fairways are having drought issues but course is coming back! played in under 4 hours, great golf value

The course was in absolutely amazing condition. Green , plush, well manicured. Greens on the back need cutting.
I don't play on weekdnds cause it takes so long. But Saturday the 14th, my 3some teed off at 12:40 , finishing by at 4:20. Even though we waited to T off on most of the holes, playing behind a foursome of 2 couples - under 4 hours on a Saturday is unbelievable.
My only disappointment is that the course is an hour plus from my home. If it were local I'd play there 4 times an month instead of 4 tines a year - and on the weekend when I NEVER play.

I would recommend this course to everyone who plays.

3 hours to play 9 holes!!! Did not stay to play the back 9. Several people were upset demanding money back. Course never advised there was a large City tournament that had an extreme slow pace of play. The course did not provide a drink cart for even a bottle of water. There was a wedding that moved the tees forward and the guests of the wedding were walking up the fairway during play.

Staff friendly, driving range adequate and balls in good shape. Course was well groomed but the traps could use a bit more sand in them. Greens were excellent and rolled very nice. Speed was around a 9-10. Fairways cut nice and fairly healthy. Overvalue was very good. Booked thru GolfNow.

The course was in good condition considering lack of rainfall in the area. Fairways were running good and the greens were smooth and fairly quick. A player friendly course. I would recommend it to anyone.

It is always fun to play Oakmont's west course, every thing was great.

They are really wooing hard to keep it in shape, no bad holes, good greens ,playable fairways.

Enjoy playing this course. Not too hard for the average golfer. Just a pleasant day!

The course was very well maintained, some of the best fairways I've seen. The greens were also very well maintained. It was a very nice day of golf.

Great course for the normal rate so it was exceptional for the reduced rate we paid.

Very good public course,...well kept and managed. Interesting course, water, trees, ....need to keep the ball in the fairway.
